Terrible place to travel to for a weekend. Awful, but completely expected, decision by the SEC.

Hoover is a great place to have the tournament, and Hoover does an unbelievable job in hosting the tournament every year.
I for one am glad it is staying in Hoover.

Isn't the SEC Tournament breaking attendance records like every year almost? Hoover seems to be doing just fine.
I for one love the decision to stay. Great trip and love the area.

Hoover is such a meh city with hardly anything else to do
Birmingham is only 10 minutes away. Idk why people are saying there's nothing to do in Hoover and ignoring the fact that a city > Baton Rouge is basically right there.
It's like saying having the games at Zephyr Field would suck because there's nothing to do in Metairie.

Well you are going to the SEC baseball tournament right? For baseball? The park isn't to big to drain the atmosphere. Its cozy and everybody is close to the field. Parking lot has lots of space to tailgate and they have a top notch RV park. Perfect venue for college ball.

Yeah, your opinion isn't biased.

Never had a problem with it being in Hoover, close for me, and when the family goes we are there for baseball and then just relaxing.
But I have been to the park in Memphis and it was very nice. But I also like only having to drive less than 3 hours to get there.

THIS X 1,000. I totally understand people wanting it to move around and I personally wouldn't have a problem with it. I also agree that AutoZone Park >>>> Regions Park. However, it's ridiculous how people here s### all over the Bham area all the time as if there is absolutely NOTHING at all do there. Granted you have to get in a car and you may have to drive across town but there is much the same stuff in Bham as there is in Memphis(other than a concentrated entertainment area like Beale Street).
People are also forgetting that maybe the SEC wants to focus to remain on the tournament ITSELF. Memphis (the runner up pick) is a fantastic venue but it's convenient location close to the heart of the city may actually hurt it in this regard. Very inconvenient parking (especially RV parking) and the fact that Beale Street could actually draw away some people who would attend most of the tournament. This happened with some Auburn friends of mine who went to New Orleans with the intention of attending the SEC basketball tourney only to spend all their time in the French Quarter instead. Lack of really close convenient attractions withing walking distance of Regions Park is actually a likely advantage in Hoover's favor.
