But was that on the left coast?
It was!
I had some of the facts wrong. But it was in 1986 and it was three games played in a 5 game series at Seattle, with two starts. 18.1 total innings played there.
BUT HE TURNED TWO DOUBLE PLAYS

I have a lot of the summer assignments I've found listed in the recruiting thread on the other board. But since the discussion has shifted to Dugas, he's listed on a Florida Collegiate Summer League team right now. That's not something normally done for guys expecting to leave for the draft.
Not saying he's definitely coming back next season, but he seems to be at least planning for the possibility.
I'm not sure I see him getting drafted in the top 20 rounds, which is all the draft will be. He doesn't really have the tools that project at the next level, despite being an awesome college player. I assume he's making his summer ball plans for if he doesn't get picked up

Yep. I’ll concede that it would take a rarer more skilled LH athlete to play the left side of the infield, but they certainly exist and Tre’ is probably one of them.

Player of the Year: Tanner Allen, Mississippi State
Now exhibit A of the argument that players don’t come to LSU to play for Paul Mainieri.

This isn't on topic for the thread, but I just saw that it took all of about 18 hours for Tim Tadlock to leverage the A&M opening for a lifetime contracts at Texas Tech.

I hate that Tre wasn't Freshman of the Year but

Cannizzaro is a bitch and so is Allen for following him.
The fact that anyone on this board wants that unprofessional bush league a-hole anywhere near our program is a disgrace.

He was on the all-freshman team. I think the "newcomer" team was for guys who were freshman last year when the season got cancelled and/or transfers. I've never seen two seperate teams for freshman and newcomers before this year

Cannizaro didn't recruit him away from LSU. Contrary to the narrative some people tried to push here.
Allen decommitted after Canny left and wasn't coming to LSU whether he went to State or not. Canny wasn't going to take him at State, but ultimately relented when his mom called and cried and begged for him to take him. After a week of not being committed to anyone, he committed to State.
I will not argue that either or both of them aren't bitches though.

These awards just pissed off Morgan, Crews, and Dugas and they’re coming out for blood this week.

believe it was Lester who said a month or so ago that Dugas was nothing more than a rotational/platoon-type player on a good LSU team
He definitely came on late as the league pitching got worse. Got hit by some pitches too that helped his cause.
I don’t like to walk things back but he finished SEC play on a tear for sure

Can’t argue with 28 stolen bases
