How did Ed Paris look at safety?

Solid for most of the day. I'm not sure if he was in on either of the deep balls for scores, nor what his role should have been.

Id say that Ed Paris will not be the starting safety. He is a backup at best. The Stevens kid needs to start from day one. Game changing playmaker back there.

May not have been the best day to evaluate either. Heavy run day.

Seen him at practice make several plays, plus he got a pick six off of Etling in the first scrimmage.

Hopefully the def will get it figured out. Don't want to have another 2013 where we finally get an offense, and then defense is the one hurting us.

We can't start worrying about the defense.

I'm not sold on Paris starting either. He's been here 4 or 5 years and hasn't done anything.

The little he did play last year he wasn't very good

Not basing it of anything other than that but he's obviously there now because no other safety has ever taken a snap.

I agree. Again, this offense makes it tough.

#1 - he has been playing out of position since he has been here.
#2 - Deion Jones and Kwon Alexander say hello.

He has always been dead set on playing corner. They finally put him at his natural position so it's really not that hard to believe.

I trust aranda to fix things, but we need gilmore replaced, key back, alexander to step up, a dominant corner, and safety help.

I agree. We have things to fix but they are still in spring practice. Key will likely be back and Alexander will continue to improve. Plus there are always freshmen stepping up.

As always stats and scrimmages are smoke and mirrors. With the road guantlet this fall 9-3 at best. Let the down votes commence.
