Hell, I would like to see them throw him a short swing pass out of the backfield---just find a way to get him in space.

His height would inhibit that play to a certain extent. You typically have to lob screen passes over the outstretched arms of oncoming lineman. It helps to have a tall reciever in that situation, otherwise the ball hangs in the air for a perilous period of time.

Maybe we could try an inside slip screen?

I'm sure we'll see one this week...

...but he'll be lined out wide on the short side of the field and won't have any room, 5 yards max.

At least if the previous 4 games are any indication.

I think the Les has always protected him because he's only 165 lbs. They seem to always put him in a position so that a LB or S can't sqaure up on him. I've always wanted to see them use him in other ways, but maybe that's the reason they don't.

I think the wheel route to Scott when he lines up at FB. This play works nearly every time a team calls it. Play action to Williams and Scott down the sideline for six.

Speaking of Holliday, why does it seem like they always run him on a end around to the short time of the field? On the same note, why do they always seem to run the QB option to the short side - at MSU, JJ almost had to pitch the ball to the hot dog vendor in the third row.
