Scoring error

In last night's basketball game, LSU had four points and then made a three point basket. The score remained four and the three point shot was not recorded. After another two point shot, the score was six rather than the correct nine.

It remained this way for the whole game and was not corrected. How can this be with so many people keeping statistics? Surely somebody during the game should have noticed this!

It didn't make any difference in the win but it could have.

This is completely incorrect. LSU had 4 points, Cook then missed a three point shot, a couple possessions later LSU missed a few shots at the rim, Williams got the offensive board and dished it out to Wright for a pull up just short of the free throw line to make it 6-6

even if espn misses it the official scorer would have the correct score and at some point ESPN catches it and updates it on screen
