Who appoints the president? Could we be right back in the same spot with some political puppet being appointed? This is LA!

JBE came out in support of F King. If only a few weeks later he fires him them we know JBE is no longer making these decisions.

Technically, the Board of Supervisors hires and fires the president. The President hires and fires anyone else at LSU.

Here is my response from the other thread to a similar question...
The board is responsible for hiring and firing the LSU President/Chancellor. However, it has always been a known fact that because the Governor controls the board through his appointments, then he/she has heavy say and influence on who gets the position. It is just dependent on how involved the Governor wants to be.
People who don’t know better on here will say that the board members have terms and are therefore protected. However, I can assure you that there are loopholes and ways for the Governor to get rid of a board member if they disobey a wish of the Governor.

JBE made a public reference to supporting FKA. JBE made a public statement supporting Alleva while he was working to move Alleva out. He does not like FKA (who helps raise money for Republicans) and his BOS members will replace FKA at the time they choose.
FKA is going to be replaced, it's just a matter of when. I was told the JBE people don't like the optics of removing FKA so soon after the WW saga. Right now they are trying to get FKA to leave on his own which is a real possibility.
