Take for instance, LSU is 5-2 with two close losses on the road to teams that are either in the top 10 or knocking on the door and have combined to go 12-2. LSU has played 6 teams with a winning record so far, and have 4 more to go with 4-2 Auburn, 5-2 Bama, 5-2 Texas, 6-1 Tenn.

Meanwhile, Utah hasn't played a single game against a team with a winning record, and will be top 10. You have James Madison ranked....Arizona ranked.....Miami is a joke at #1, playing no one.....Indiana finally played a decent team this week....TT has beaten no one. ND? lol.

That's why I am far the expanded playoff. Those teams are taking spots from SEC programs that would be favored over them in a neutral game. Let's at least get the chance to play them in round 1 of the playoffs, instead of watching teams from home that would be significant underdogs to us. Tulane last year. LOL.

Yep. The committee proved already that strength of schedule isn’t a factor

Problem is, even with an expanded playoff, teams like that have an unfair advantage.

Your team is much less likely to be banged up throughout the year when you’re playing subpar competition.

There’s many reasons why it’s bullshite.

Agreed.

That said, James Madison is a very good team. I have attended all of their home games this season and last season. They haven't missed a beat this year under Napier.

Sure, they play extremely weak competition in the Sun Belt Conference, and that's why they're leaving.

I would like to see how they fare against a decent team.

An argument against SEC teams playing nine oother SEC teams in the regular season, but what do I know.

CFP committee said they are taking into account conference strength and schedule strength this year

We’ll see if they hold true to their word

They just need to go back to the BCS formula to decide the tournament field.

This has always been the case with college football. Now the argument is who should be in playoffs instead who the National Champion is.

Now that LSU already has two losses in this playoff era schedules are now a joke. C’mon man.

Until this season, they have said that was not one of the criteria. SO they haven't proven that yet. We will see if they take it into account this season and how much weight they give it.

An undefeated team is hard to keep out of the top 12 and will be impossible to keep out of the top 24 when the playoffs go there. But it should come into play when comparing teams with 1-3 losses. We shall see.
