Me and a couple buddies (all from PA/NJ) just booked our plane tickets to B.R. for the Ga game. First trip since 2001. Have rooms at the BR sheraton with the casino attached so should be a good weekend.

My question is....how easy is it to scalp tickets at TS? We attended the Fla game in 2001...we had tickets in the upper deck but were able to buy 2 in the end zone right before the game for cheap. Have things changed any since then?
We usually attend sporting events without tix (Yankees, Jets, penn st, Phillies, orioles Knicks) and always get tickets at a more reasonable price than the stubhub or ebay nonsense prices.

tix will be there, they may not be cheap, but they will be there. You might find them cheap, but more than likely, they will be $150-$200 per. If you are okay with that, no worries, they will be around.

It is illegal to scalp tickets on campus. You may, however, end up paying a couple of hundred dollars for an LSU hat......and the guy will throw in a ticket or two to the game.

two national championships = a lot more fans
You're gonna get taxed on tickets to the GA game if you can find some.

thanks guys. I figured that the 2 champs brought out a lot of bandwagoners.

I am kind of thinking that some of the hype may be off this game since GA has a tough schedule and LSU plays aub and fla before....so it may not be #1 vs #5 but still 2 top 15's.

What is the approx face of lower level tix?

all tix face value is $50, but most people selling them will try to recoup the "donation" required to get them. This could range from $18 to $100 per ticket per game once broken down, depending on where they are. Good luck!

If it builds to a meeting like last year's UF/LSU matchup good luck finding tickets.

last year at the florida game $100 was a good price I could see them selling around $150-$200 before the game

All tickets carry a face value of around 45...this may have gone up a tad since last year but my season tix in the SEZ where 760 before TAF fees of 140/ticket.

ETA: All conference game TIX carry 45

If you want tickets early in the day and peice of mind, expect to pay $200 for the Georgia game. If you want to wait till the last minute, even minutes after kickoff, then you will get them for face value or less. Beware of counterfeit tickets.

Ebay is not bad more often than not, though sometimes it's not great, I have found reasonable prices and even some steals. Stubhub is always ridiculously high.
