Ridley was legit but Ware's ball skills really could be huge for the offense.

Bottom line is that he wouldn't have gone as high as he did in the NFL draft if he wasn't talented. He also is not nearly explosive as Ford/Ware and we should be getting an upgrade at the RB position this year.

Stevan Ridley was a good hard-working back, that ALWAYS represented LSU with class and charachter.

I will miss Ridley, even if he didn't leave early. He is a fine TIGER.

That said....

I am loving our RB situation. I would love it if Stevan was on the squad, but we're in good shape!

he was a solid back that got the job done...ford and ware have more big play potential though.

I knew you two turds would be in lock step together. Answer this riddle:

What's 2+2? I'll give you five minutes to confer. Good luck.

This whole thread is filled with a lot of stupidity. It's basically just a couple of folks who have an opinion that can be easily proven wrong and won't acknowledge it.

this. Ridley was an excellent back. A perfect mix of quickness, power, and elusiveness, esp at 235# Ridley was the main reason we won the Tennessee game. That was all will power, because our line got no push on that play. There was a reason LSU was the #1 team in 4th down conversions, at 11-12

Ridley was rare in the fact that he was effective in any formation. He could line up as the single back and work the 3&4 gaps. He could line up a FB and work the dives & the play action passes to the flat. He could dot the i and punish the defense, or he could line up as the lone shotgun back and work the inside and outside zone reads.

He will be missed.

The fricking Patriots do not reach. They're the best drafting team out there. I think I'll trust Bill Belichick over fricking Lester Earl

I thought Ridley was a 5th rounder too. I was wrong. You were wrong. It happens. That doesn't make it a "reach" -- it makes us wrong.

This is garbage and absolutely nothing more than speculation. He may have been there. He may not have been there. All we know is that he went early in the 3rd round.

Picking up on page 3:

what are you trying to say, retard?

bomber:

Where do you think he gets drafted? Do I have to spell it out for your dumb arse?

Lester:

6th round-undrafted

bomber:

Ok, I say he goes 5th round or better.

I win, 90 days off the board for you.

You win, lifetime off for me.

Kevin TheRant:

quote:

Take it Lester... No way he gets drafted in 5 rounds. Look at Charles Scott was projected 4th or 5th and ended up in the 6th, and I would say his resume was better that Ridley. I think he will be lucky to go in the 6th.

bomber:

Is it a bet ?

Lester:

i dont want you to leave forever. how will i rub it in your face?

bomber:

Come on , step up to the pump.

Lester:

as for a bet, why dont we give $100 to a 3rd party to hold, winner takes the money? or are you too scared to do that

I'm in for that
