2019 was an amazing season. We lost more exceptional talent to the NFL than we ever had before and we still had the 2nd best season in all of college football. The defense reload and adjusted and was the best defense in the country. The offense was amazingly prolific and efficient.

We won our division, and our conference. We beat an amazingly strong OSU team in the most exciting semi-final in CFP history and we made it to the Championship Game.

Then we ran into a juggernaut that was on a historic run. They did everything that they and their record said that they would do. Our guys played their hearts out, but they ran into a team where all of their pieces fell into place this year and they were unstoppable. I don't believe in destiny but as a cliche it works this year. LSU was the team of destiny. Sometimes you just happen to be on the tracks at the wrong time.

We WILL be back next year, cause that's how this program is built. And I believe that we will compete for the Natty again. And that's all you can ask for - the chance to compete against the best. Go Tigers !!

Sometimes you just happen to be on the track at the same time

If you were a fan in 2011 you know that story all too well

Clemson was national champion quality. Just happened to be the same season the best college team ever assembled was doing their thing in Baton Rouge.

Stayed at the Hilton with the whole hotel pretty much being all Clemson fans. After the game I was in a elevator with one of them and he told me that he is glad he never has to sit through another Clemson game where they have to face Burrow. I just told him don’t feel bad man Burrow and these Tigers were not going to be denied this year. We are just on another level and no one was beating us.

That’s pretty much what every decent Clemson fan I talked to after the game said.

A lot of them are happy wilt beating UNC and Duke back to back in basketball

I can appreciate everything he said and I agree with almost all of it. It's true that they'll be back. Dabo is building a dynasty there, and they benefit from being the big dog in a ridiculously weak conference. My only beef is that I get the distinct impression that he thinks that we are essentially a one-hit wonder, and that Orgeron captured lightning in a bottle the same way that Chizik did with Scam Newton in 2010. I guess that's possible and it remains to be seen if Orgeron can maintain a high level of success. I don't expect us to win the NC every year, but we should be in the mix come playoff time. Clemson always will be, if for no other reason than the fact that the rest of their conference is a joke.

At this point, O has to prove that LSU is not a one hi wonder. I honestly think that O is doing all of the right things but O has to prove it, and the narrative will not change unless we start to beat BAMA more than just once every 8/9 years. We need to start there and then no one will have anything else to say except the Tigers are back for real.

Georgia's double OT win over OU in 2018 was the most exciting semifinal game in CFP history.
