this smart arse threw down his head set like a little girl when one of his brilliant players made 12 men on the field-- I wonder what he would have done if the peterson call had been made in front of his bench--give me a break-- miles is a better man and we will win in the long run with miles--now with all the bad calls they are even 61 wins a piece.

he kisses arse with the refs and is loved by finebaum- what a yonk

Kinda crazy that the money they make was mentioned first with Saban.

You would think if you want to be around the game, officials could care less about the money.

A totally foreign concept for Nick.

Comment of the year and sums up Saban totally.

I read in another rant line that he claims to have no opinion on the interception one way or another- says he only looks at his film not network film- a true leader would admit he got a good break on that call and move on

I've never really hated saban, but he comes out as a complete arse, prick, and tool by commenting AT ALL on the officials this week.

when saban was on the other end of the call

"It's a tough call to make, to have it a game-deciding kind of call," LSU coach Nick Saban said afterward. "We struggled to get a clear definition of even what the rule is and I'm on the rules committee. I'm sure that we probably didn't do it correctly and deserved to have the call. I'm not criticizing the officials." But then he did. "It was a cheap penalty to end up losing the game on," Saban said.

That is way more than Miles has said

He was asked about the call or no-call in his press conference by the media. He didn't just stroll in and pony that up all on his own...

Given how little officials make for the amount of criticism they've been receiving, Saban said there's no way he'd put himself through that torture.

"I'd step back and say, 'I think I'll go to the lake this weekend, you can have this,' " Saban said.

So I'm curious...What is the exact amount they would have to make to ensure that they prefer doing their job correctly over spending the weekend at the lake?...Maybe the SEC could pay them this amount.

Will it suprise anyone if we find out in a couple of years that SEC officials have been betting on games?
