Miss St is one of the bottom half teams. They all have easier permanent opponents than the top half of the league by design. The strength of their permanent opponents isn’t significantly different from those teams.

Georgia has Florida and Auburn. That leaves them with tougher permanent opponents than the bottom half teams have and consistent with other top half teams. Their third opponent may be easier than Alabama or LSU have, but somebody had to draw the bottom few teams.
