we werent even suppose to be good this year. we all said 2009 is the year. if andre smith comes back next year which is unlikely we will be real good. New qb or not well be as good as this year. we dont lose anything on defense except for rashad johnson.

Fail.....Bama drops some from this year. Chemistry and NOT so low on talent helped Saban. Along w/ his good coaching.....

Enjoy this year because no way it's duplicated next year.

I don't think we drop off too much next year, we have most of our guys coming back. The only position I am a little concerned about is qb. We all know that an experienced qb is a great thing to have. The only thing we have going in this position is the style of offense we are running doesn't make us rely on too strong of a qb. We need a qb that can do just enough and not make stupid mistakes and let the running game open it up for us.

Oh sweet God! I never even thought about that. If Saban jumped ship for UT... wow

I don't pray but if I did I would pray for a clusterfrick scenario like that. I would laugh for days. It makes me chuckle just thinking about the possibility.

It will probably be Tubby that goes to UT. It's about time to make another SEC school rotation

New QB.. yes.
Bama will only suffer losses on the Offensive line. No one is leaving from the defensive trenches.

Many draft boards have Cody going. He has proven himself in the modified 3-4 and his upside is large enough to warrant #1 round attention. Nothing more to prove here to get his ticket to the NFL.

NFL 3-4, and some 4-3, love this type of player.

Andre Smith?? Caldwell??

Also, all this talk of Saban inheriting a completely talentless team is pretty ridiculous. Alabama had 10 wins THREE YEARS AGO. Mike Shula didn't lose a single game in his last 2 seasons by more than 2 scores. He only lost 3 by more than a single TD.

Yes, Saban is doing a better job of winning close games this year than Shula did. But this Bama team has only played 3 teams with winning records- they beat UGA pretty good, then held on to win by 3 against Kentucky and 4 against Ole Miss.

LSU may very well lose this weekend, but I wouldn't go calling Saban the Greatest Coach in History quite yet.
