It's amazing how ESPN got so many to concentrate on what is a "better loss".
Thus Saban's basketball analogy fits. There have been a few b-ball champs that didn't win their conference. It's all about the system and if you think it's flawed, then LSU's recent NC titles are flawed.

BTW remember 08 Utah and how Bama was suppose to wax the dome carpet with them. We know how it turned out and had that game been voted on rather than played we also know how it would have turned out.

Yep. It's their system and NC champs do not always win their tourneys either.
The BCS is the system of football, so Bama finishing #2 is legit.

I like this rematch game, tell you why. LSU with all there great victories over top ranked teams has an element that favors them much more than Bama. With all ther great talent that matches Bama's great talent, LSU has tremendous speed both on offense and defense. The Oregon game in the Jerry dome showcased that, they were flyin all around the field Mathieu and gang, everyone was talkin about Oregons fast speed when LSU not only matched their speed, but one upped them. I look for them to do the same thing to McCaron and Richardson causing all kinds of havoc!

I admit I don't know a whole lot about Bball but I know enough to know it has nothing to do with how football is or should be. Bama #2 ranking was not legit. They lost on Nov 5 after having 2 weeks to get ready knowing what was at stake. You don't get do overs especially after losing at home that late in the season. OSU did what it was suppose to and blew out their 10 ranked rival.
As it turns out.....Bama was essentially back in the game just 2 weeks after LSU beat them....weeks before the season ended and conference champ games were played.
the systems a joke but you entitled to you opinion I suppose.

And this year's champ is a joke too regardless who wins.

If LSU was in bamas place I would admit the BCS is a joke. I would enjoy it and take it but would understand it was given not earned and that LONGTERM the system needs to be a playoff.
If you can benefit from it you can get screwed by it.
if LSU win they would be undefeated Champs......but yes the system is still broken.
