Trindon is fast but not very shifty in space and dosen't have the same type of elusiveness. Shepard is a natural. I couldn't imagine playing tag with Shepard he would never be it.

#1 recruit = more touches. Sorry Trindon.

people talk about "elusiveness" and while i agree that TH doesnt have "it" could this not be taught, or at least improved? holliday is already hard to catch because he's small, (and i have a feeling that also plays into his inability to avoid tackles for lack of vision) but if someone could work with him on this, it would be a tremendous asset to have the little guy squirming around tacklers making them all look silly as he burns it down the field.

i also like the thought of the "wild tiger" with sheppard at helm, TH on the reverse and richard murphy as the back. it would be the ultimate way to utilize the unutilized in their own special set. even if the defense sees the set coming it could still be hell to stop.

chances are none of what i have previously mentioned will be reality though.

that being said:
russell sheppard will most likely have more rushing yards

I agree. Shep is more likely to see field time in the "wild tiger" or similar formation. Unlike TH, he presents a passing option also.

Besides, TH has seen his carries drop from 53 in 2007 to 21 in 2008. That's less than 2 rushing attempts per game. As Scott is returning for his senior year and has established himself as the go-to, every down back (with K. Williams and Murphy to give him breathers), TH will probably see the field only on the occasional gimmick double reverse or kick return.

Meanwhile, Shep is being groomed to be an every down player at either WR, HB, or QB (or perhaps all within the same game). Miles will get him in games to develop him early and often.
