There will be an engineering major on CBS next week crying about how much fun she missed out on while in college. BOOK IT!

College isn't supposed to be easy. It's not an entitlement. And it's not for everybody. And that's okay.

This, and I basically agree with everyone else too. Be an adult, go to class and study. If someone is unable to do that, that's their own problem to deal with. No college owes a degree to anyone.

Part of what makes a college degree valuable is that serves as proof that you are smarter and more successful. Its mental natural selection. If it takes a few mental gazelles like that girl to feed me, a mental lion, too fricking bad for you, you delicious mind meat.

If they shut down the tigerland bars then maybe the graduation rate would go up to maybe 66 percent.

It's high school's job to provide diplomas, it's the exact purpose of college to weed out those who can't cut it, and not give undeserved degrees IMO.

Everyone can do college if they develop the necessary study skills. It is a teacher's job to develop these skills. It is the parents' job as well.

I know some very smart people that don't test well.

The key to a good grade is to figure out what the instructor thinks is important and place more emphasis on that when studying a large amount of material for an exam.

He turned in Geology homework in CMST... and as much as I would love to violate federal law and quote some grades I can just say this, don't use the media to make arguments.

Awesome.

Just because many people can obtain a degree does not make the degree worthless. What makes a degree worthless is the fact that there are no jobs in said curriculum.

Just because people learn how to study effectively does not make the degree worthless. These people are learning how to learn (i.e. test taking).

I also think age/maturity has a LOT to do with the grades you get. I went back to school 13 years post baccalaureate and got a 3.71 GPA after a graduating with a lot less of a GPA from LSU.

Anyone else notice that she was graduating from EHS? Her parents dropped 40k on her HS education and the dumb broad failed out of LSU.

Get a job.

If you stick with the blow off course of geology and get a master's in geology,
you will be making 125k to 150k pretty quickly in one of the Oil and Gas companies between BR and Houston. FACT.

Good to see T. Mathieu creeping up on the studies just like he destroys opponents on the field. Looked like he was sneaking in on that PC like a quarterback. Surprised he didn't rip that computer out of the wall and eat it.
