Height is one asset that JJ has that RS doesn't.

This is a very overrated attribute for QBs

Drew Brees isn't much taller than RS

but I would think in the bowl game the turf wasn't really conducive to a shifty running style.

I'd think he'd be a better option than TH at RB though at least on that field

He's adequate enough given his athletic attributes

Russell Shepard Played in the Bowl Game

He was in for about three maybe four plays. I think it was one at Tailback and 2-3 as receiver. He is shown under the starters with those who got in the game. With twenty two minutes of offense, which starter should he have replaced?

I just don't think that TH was a better option. Sorry.

IF true, Miles should come out and say that. Don't leave the fans guessing.

WTF, why you think the fans need to know. i appreciate he didnt trash him in the public. the punishment was between him and his position coach not to be judge in the court of public opinion.

Maybe

But I do think it would have been wise to develop him as a QB as opposed to this Harvin type of hybrid player.

I don't think fans would have crucified the kid for missing a curfew...

I honestly had no idea he was in the game. Why wouldn't Les and RS have responded to questions about him not getting in the game by saying he did??

Agree that height isn't everything, but it is an asset, agree? I didn't say it was the most important, but if all else is equal, you go with the taller QB, right?

PS: Drew Brees is an anomaly.

Like I said, it's a VERY overrated asset. Unless he is Trindon's height, it's not an issue

I promise you, it's an issue. You'd have to have a very low football IQ to think otherwise.

Not really

Do you even know what anomaly means? At 6'0, Brees is the shortest starting QB in the NFL. That alone defines him/his success an anomoly.

I'm not disputing that but it's not as stupid as he's suggesting when you put it in context

I dont care if Shep missed his curfew and showed up at 3 am with 10 prostitutes, smoking a joint with a white powdery substance under his nose HIS arse SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME and do what we brought him here to do!

Can we bench Miles and Crowton for not ever coming to the game mentally? They forgot their brain back at the hotel!

I do care and am glad his arse sat in the bench if he missed curfew. We got rid of Perriloux, Pope, Odom, etc.
Im glad there are consequences for player conduct.
