He's not good? Based on what, one game? One missed block? Have you looked at the game film yet? How many blocks did he miss/make> What was his assignment on that play? How many missed assignments did he miss all game?

Why do you think he got benched in the Western Kentucky game?

LINK

Here's some footage of some of his plays in that game. Fournette gets upset with him, and he doesn't play much in the 2nd half.

Now, he's barely out there against Arkansas, possibly misses a block on the Harris fumble when he is, and we're abandoning formations with a fullback altogether.

You tell me, coach.

The I formation was our identity. I agree. We should have stuck it out with what we our programmed to do.

The plan for the beginning of the game was shite. Why come out and hit the defender in the back on the first play?

Just the fact that we might not be confident in our blocking tight ends altogether. We're facing some legit rushing defenses now (Ole Miss is pretty good too), and maybe we don't think the style we've used all season is going to be effective anymore.

It's what we know. Even if it's outdated and boring, the players know what they're doing.

If Harris is indeed running the zone read, he doesn't do it well as of now. If he's not running the zone read, then what's the point of being in the shotgun and running from that formation continuously?

So you're saying the Miles/Cameron offense needs an NFL quarterback in order for it to be successful?

Why can't we develop a quarterback?

No, I am pretty sure you just said that, I know I didn't. You do know how inexperienced Harris is at throwing these passes and do know what kind of offense he ran in high school right. It took Met a year before he looked worth a shite. These kids are starting over when they get into an offense like what Cam is running and hopefully we can start playing third year players rather than first and second at the position.

I'm with you. LSU scored on 2 drives and they were the only 2 drives that featured Fournette touching the ball 5+ times. Some of that was still out of the shotgun, but still, we should have tried to control the line. Fournette was blasting through guys every play. Down 24-14, we should have smashed it for a nice 7 minute td drive.

Zach seemed to do pretty well in his first season with Cam. Of course, he was surrounded by NFL players at the skill positions.

Harris has been in Cameron's offense since Spring of 2014, so coming up on two years now. I would hope, at this point, our quarterback wouldn't be handcuffing our offensive coordinator in terms of play calling.

Harris obviously has a ton of talent. It is frustrating because it's not like Cameron has nothing to work with.

No, what I'm saying is that you are trying to make judgment on a guy that was in high school last year and saying he sucks after after 2 games. Yes he was a high recruit if you decide to make that argument, 6th at his position in the country. That position was Tight End. He is suppose to suck right now, actually he might have even been red shirted if it wasn't for injury. If we went back an judged everyone on their first game, game and 1/2. Who would actually be good? Beckham, Landry, Met? Especially the kids thrown into a position. Take your anger out somewhere else.

My initial statement was that he was not up to par. Should he be up to par at this point? No. He's been pushed into the role due to injury. However, the fact remains that he's not, and that might be reflected in our play calling/formations.

I'm not angry. I'm having a discussion. I was over that game before I even walked out of the stadium last night. No reason we can't discuss our problems, though.

Met was a senior and his third year in the system so that's not a fair comparison. Met also ran similar offenses since junior high. Harris started at QB in high school and didn't take a snap under center until last year. The plan was to have him start next year (I'm somewhat guessing here of course) and have Franks watch him for two years. The problem is, everyone on here will be asking for Franks to start day one because he throws for 220 in the spring game.

You seem more reasonable than originally thought and didn't mean to imply you were flaming, my bad.
