Working with Mettenberger would probably help him tremendously, but I can understand if he is frustrated.

As do I. He hasn't had a good QB since he has been here. If he did, he would almost certainly be going to the draft as a 1st rounder.

What else does he have to come back to accomplish without much risk?

i could see him going high in the 2nd round if he does well at the combine.

would love to see him come back next season and light it up with mett but i can't blame him if he leaves.

other guys will step up. i know jarvis landry is ready to shine.

He will blow them away at the combine.

Maybe Randle has seen all he wants to see of Mett. Maybe Mett sucks. After all, he's been kept on the bench this year by the worst starting QB's I've ever seen at LSU (and I've been watching a loooong time).

Miles is playing JJ to make RR drop and stay.

A chance to win back to back and be the #1 rated WR in the draft. Like I said it is all where he is graded. If he is graded as a first rounder, he would be totally justified in going. But if he is graded as a 2nd rounder or later, the combine can do just as much to hurt him as it can to help him. Especially since he doesn't have the career stats he would have with good QB play.

Yeah, that's more important than his career.

He's tired of no one getting him the ball.
I watched him on the sidelines after each offensive series, he looked really discouraged.

The risk is too high for him to come back. A good combine will probably put him in the late first round even with a deep WR class.

If he goes (which I hope he doesn't)

Maybe it's not important to him. If he can go in the first three rounds, which he would, he will probably go. There are no guarantees that coming back LSU would do as well next year, and that he would make it through the whole season.

Randle is All SEC caliber this year, but would be all American somewhere with a prolific passing offense. Again, he will blow them away at the combine and pro day workouts.

Unfortunately the Saints don't have a first rounder. Which takes away anything positive, for me that is, of him entering the draft.

You don't think he knows what he'll do in the combine? He knows his physical abilities. If he knows he isn't going to have a good combine, what is a extra year of production going to do for him? It certainly isn't going to increase his stock. Why take the all that risk his senior year then?

It was just like Charles Scott. He should've left after his Junior year when his stock was the highest. Coming back his Senior year killed his stock and he wasn't very good in the combine.

Unless RR values education over money, then he isn't coming back. If we win a NC, he got his glory here.

LSU's WR situation is going to be pretty terrible if he does leave early

I agree with this. RR will probably go about 20th in the draft. I don't care how many receivers are coming out this year. He's big, he's fast, he blocks well, and he has shown that he'll catch it in traffic. Sounds like round 1 to me.

Obviously his mother's opinion is drastically important to his decision. But if she is ungrateful that her son is "stuck" in this situation, I don't have much positive to say about that. Again questioning if you actually heard what you claim to have heard.

You bet he does. Will be a "surprise" to those who don't know much about him. He has elite abilities in many areas.
