One thing to think about is this. If we had RP last year and win some of those games that we lost then who is our DC this season? We may not have fired our DC's and brought in a proven DC because our win-loss record would have been much better.
I think in 2008 we would have been better with RP. But after that I don't think the program would have been any better off. I will take a mediocre 2008 season if it means we have a DC for the next 5-10 years along with a proven QB in 2010 and 2011.

Sonnyboy, I have been watching LSU football and going to games since Bernie Moore was the coach. You can make all the lame, childish attempts to insult me you want to. I find it amusing. Now go put your Clearasil on and quit playing with your mommys computer before she puts you in time out.

There is no doubt in my mind that we would have had more talented teams in 2008 and 2009 if Perrilloux were still around. However, we are a better program because he is gone.

It is sad that two of the most physically gifted football players to ever attend LSU, Ryan Perrilloux and Cecil Collins, played just enough to show their potential, but they couldn't behave responsibly as students and/or citizens and had to be dismissed from the team. Can you think of another program that dismissed such talents recently? I can't, but I can recall programs that overlooked serious transgressions by star players. I'll take the LSU approach anyday, despite the lost opportunities.

Nick Saban is very happy in Tuscaloosa. What's with all the negativity towards Saban? He only has good things to say about LSU and your fans.
