Mostly fair article. Couple issues I think that could have been written differently:
- Landry’s big issue highlighting the conflict of interest b/w SW and Kelly’s agent being one in the same and the implications of that on contracts. Wasn’t covered and is a significant part of the story from Landry’s position and not surprising why SW would not want that widely known & damaging to his side of the story.
- I would not have cited comments from agents. No shite they are going to try and portray this will adversely affect HC hire; they want to try and use that as leverage in negotiations. Clearly biased perspective.
- Cited staffer calling situation a “shite show”. How many staffers did he interview? More than one? Did they all perceive it that way? Others have a different opinion? Impressions inside the athletic department of positive/negative of Kelly and Woodward’s departure? I would have clarified that angle better for more accurate inside-the-building context.
Those issues for me made the article a bit more slanted than a “just the facts ma’am” synopsis.

Who’s “damaged” by these contracts? Private donors can do what they want with their money.
If he didn't fire the guy who was spending their money, then they would quit supporting his campaign.
I expect the Gov was carrying out the requests of his supporters who are the same people paying the buyout.

The real one was a week ago in TS. That's where SW and BK dropped us all off.

Hey Govnah Boucher. Who’s paying the $6M for your vanity project of getting rid of an old political foe of yours? Taxpayers????

It is disturbing when people's blind faith lead them to defending someone, no matter what.
I would like to think that if I were the most ardent Landry supporter (which I definitely am NOT), I could step back and say "no, this is not right. He is fricking this up".
And let's be clear, the number still left defending him are small, but they are dogged and persistent.
For them the dumbfrickery and embarrassment is o.k. because Kelly is gone. I'm sorry that's ignorant.

The contracts are really stupid . Woody chased after Lincoln Riley and got played . He should have set money and time limits to decide then move on . He cant negotiate worth a darn . So .. he panics and goes crazy $$$ on Kelly . We would have been better off with Sunbelt Billy .

Delly is a flaming liberal who wanted to cancel football during covid. F him. LOL @ the cucks who believe what Landry said will make a difference hiring a new football coach.
