Yeah, that has no credibility. Either dude hates seafood or his mom makes take and eat trays at Kroger.

Bama at 1 is a joke. AU is better than theirs.

Having personally seen it, people tailgate at USC with checkered blankets behind 740 BMW's with a book and bottle of wine, WTF?? Anyway, take it for what it is worth....

I've been twice with a friend. Mid-90's. We would arrive early ONLY TO BEAT THE TRAFFIC that NEVER WAS. And we would sit in/near/around the car and have a few cocktails until game time. No TV's. No setups. Parking lot. Boring. And he was a hardcore fan. It was pitiful.

It would be too easy to put LSU at number 1 in tailgating, because we are.....

You are showing that you are absolutely clueless... Texas sniffing the top 25 is a joke. Are you kidding me? And Bama the best? Did you just do this randomly without any insight or experience whatsoever?

I was at an LSU tailgate on Bama's campus in 2007 and Bama fans began migrating to the LSU tailgate in droves because that's where the best party was. Bama had a lot of people on campus that day but the LSU fans had the larger presence so to speak. Bama being ranked ahead of LSU is a joke.

And Texas shouldn't even be in the top 10.

ETA - Saw the other post and agree...Texas shouldn't be in the top 25 because they don't even tailgate...WTF.

Rod was one of the guys doing the Nevada Missouri game last night on ESPN. I have come to the conclusion that he was trying to spread his choice across the major conferences.

5 usc is a joke and im guessing he went with them on name alone.
4 wisconsin is an interesting choice and a program i would like to see LSU schedule a home and homw with but picking a team out of the Big 10 I would have gone with Penn State
3 Texas is his Big 12 team. Granted Ribs and steaks are good but the atmosphere is more in the 12-15 range of tailgating schools
2 LSU should have been number 1. Watching the segment it kind of sounded like Rod wanted them at 1 because of the excitement in his voice.
1 Alabama is a joke. Rod, which game or games did you go to to decide this? Did you have an easy time buying alcohol? I sure didn't.

Wisconsin is actually a pretty good time, they also stay way after the game. (if they win)

Wisconsin doesn't really even tailgate because they don't have a good area to do so.

I've been to two games in Madison and we stayed and drank in my friend's apartments until game time.

Damn straight! I've always heard Wisconsin was good. Texas???? uh, no. The tailgaters at the stadium-by-the-freeway don't tailgate near as hard as Tigers!

While I think Wisconsin probably has one of the better game day atmospheres (never been on game day, but "I hear things"), I could not imagine all-day tailgating there as it's probably already dipping into the 30s and 40s in the early morning.

Bama has pretty good tailgating--with full fledged "krewes" all over campus, although I'm not sure if they have the "Super Krewes" like HATT and Krewe of Ragoo used to be. They just aren't ALL OVER CAMPUS like LSU is.
