Listen to this guy trying to talk down the SEC to justify TCU as a top team.

On SC last night, he said he didn't care what anybody did, he wanted to see TCU vs Boise in the MNC.

He said he would possibly still put TCU over an undefeated SEC Champ Auburn.

We saw that last year with virtually the same teams. That game was horrible. Smith is probably just toeing the company line to stir up controversy and get ratings and advertising money for ESPN. We all know the BCS has nothing to do with finding the best team. It's all about the Benjamins.

He's still hung up on the Tennessee game, playing what if's as in "if Tennessee hadn't put 13 men on the field, LSU would have 2 losses". This assumes that we would still have lost to Auburn. What if Boise States's plane crashed, or TCU's entire team died of food poisoning? The man is so intent of discrediting the BCS and seeing some no defense pass until you drop team win the national Championship, he cannot think straight, if ever he could.

He also said lsu is really 7-2 because the tn game was a loss. I suppose it is ok to have 13 men on the field and games should end on a defensive penalty. Oh those pesky rules.

Robert Scott Smith (born March 4, 1972) is a former American football running back who played with the Ohio State Buckeyes and later with the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL. He declared for the NFL draft shortly after his sophomore year (counting his redshirt his third academic year). (He also starred in track and field while at Ohio State. Smith had been the only player to ever win Ohio's Mr. Football Award twice (in 1988 and 1989). Erick Howard has since won the award twice (in 2008 and 2009).
