Crowton runs the show. Miles is in Crowton's dog house now.

expect to see many more fade patterns in the end zone.

If they take the redshirt off Ford at this point

How many running backs do we have left?

And on a side note, who was the guy (defense I'm pretty sure) during the 2001 SECCG that lost his redshirt THAT game? I NEVER remember his name. Worked out great ... situation different though. Higher stakes with the SECCG.

It doesnt matter. Ford wont bring anything at this moment Ridley wont. If we cant win with Ridley, Holiday, and Shepard taking a few carries (we dont run much anyway!!!) then whats the use???? We're not playing for anything anymore

Ridley benched for his anticrowton comments?
maybe the coaching staff questioned ridley's ability to pick up a couple of yards... anyone remember the bama game where we were up 15-13 and had a 3rd and 1? ridley didn't follow parsons through the hole...

ridley needs to look in the mirror, man. i don't like dogging players but maybe he should pick up a yard or two in a key situation when given the opportunity. but no... he gets stuffed by mcclain and we punt. next drive julio jones gives bama the lead.

i disliked the back to back fades as well, but ridley should check himself before he continues his career here

If one single player supports Miles it's Stevan. He was one of Miles first recruits and Miles came to Natchez several times to get him. Even though he hasnt seen the playing time yet that he wanted he sticks behind Miles 100%. In this situation he is supporting Miles when most others aren't.

. "That didn't happen. They also didn't call a run on the 2-point conversion (with LSU down 25-23 moments before recovering an onside kick). We're down on the goal line and need 2, and we decide (laughing) to throw two fades in a row? But I mean that's the game
He is spot on. We get bailed out on the first try and we run that junk play again. Perfectly sums up this staff right now.

Miles said he "suggested" that they call a running play but Crowton was doing all the play calling.

Head Coach does NOT "suggest" a play..

...they CHANGE the fricking play...

There is no use ... just wondering who all we had left ... right now I'd say we're playing for a little respect to go out of the season with heads held high and an Arkansas beatdown ... she crosses fingers ...

Whether it's spot-on or not or no matter how it sums things up, he shouldn't have told any of this to the local media.

i'm sure he does support the hell out of Miles. i just wish interviews with players had not happened after the game. Ridley will be a key part of the offense next year, and i look forward to seeing him. i don't have a problem with him being upset and wanting the ball... as all players should. but most people might hear that and get pissed off and see the infighting.

Ridley said Miles needed to take the blame for the loss.

"The team, that's something that we needed to hear," he said. "Because there's a bunch of questions going around. People are wondering, 'What's the situation? What's going on?' But coach Miles, for him to do that, it says a lot, and that's why I look forward to playing for him in the future. This team's got to come together, period."

"Any head coach that does that in front of their team, in front of their assistants and comes up there and says, 'This was my fault,' I mean it takes a lot for somebody to swallow their pride and say that, 'I messed something up.' He did what he needed to do. There's nothing else that needs to be said by him. It says a lot about the person that he is. I respect that he said, 'This was my fault.' Coach Miles, he manned up and said he cost us the game. That's all you can ask for from him."

I guess everyone conveniently skipped over this post in the thread.

thats why with the game on the line, Miles was too scared to veto all those passing plays Crowton called.

JL six consecutive passes leading to 2 3 and out series.

Crowton runs the show. If Miles had any say so, you know for damn sure he would've attempted some runs.

Miles said yesterday that Crowton suggested they had just moved down the field by throwing it so they thought they were in a rhythm. Problem is Ole Miss thought that also and started bringing the freaking house. Should've run the ball on 1st down to keep them honest. Then the pass play on 2nd down might not have been a sack and who knows.

Sorry, I think our players deserve more. Like a coach who can manage a game.

Thanks for posting that ... I hadn't read/heard what he said ... and yes, some do just conveniently skip over the guy manning up ...
