I guarantee 80% of the posters on this site can't clean or bench 250.

315 isn't a big clean. it's a really good clean but I would think that every player on LSU's roster can clean it.
You are very lucky being a complete dumbass isn't against the law

Well judging by the behaviors of 80% of the posters I would say they were little fellas who never played any sport at any level

I've softened on my stance from my earlier posts on this topic. I over estimated the abilities of my fellow man.

I can admit when I'm wrong. I felt like I was being logical and I definitely wasnt hating on Jefferson. But if my dumbass can clean 250 or more tomorrow then I will come back with my original argument that the majority of people should be able to do it.

Here is a good chart showing lifting numbers. Rickey is almost at elite status. Some people in here are idiots

The average male can't even bench their own weight.

my argument stemmed from what the kids at the high school where I coach are cleaning. I didn't pull it out of my arse. Im going to clean max tomorrow and after I get back from the hospital I'll share even though I already know that no one gives a shite

I honestly don't know what I could clean.

I never had a good coach to help me with that lift. I've only cleaned and done hang cleans a handful of times but I was able to clean 235 once at a 185-190 bw. Of course I was also deadlifting 550 pounds so I just muscled up the weight. So it wasn't Olympic technique worthy that's for sure.

I can't believe we've had two pages of debate on a 185 lb man pwer cleaning 315 and most Ranters saying this isn't a big deal....we've had guys show us the wrong exercise when debating the topic and he coaches kids, one guy saying everybody should be doing it by their jr year of lifting.....

This is truly a special place....props to Chicken for creating such an awesome environment.

Yeah I definitely hijacked this thread with some naivete. I really did think that most of LSU's football team would be cleaning 350+ It wasn't a troll.

Also, I'm not a S&C coach for a very good reason. So luckily for the kids Im not in there teaching them wrong lifts and poor technique

If you are out of shape you probably should not attempt that 250 tommorow.

I think he should try it....I'll put him to sleep when his intestine is protruding through his sack.

In all seriousness a 185 lb man cleaning 315 is frigging impressive.

Obviously not Olympic lifting standards but very impressive number for an athlete. I don't care what anyone says

I'm still going to go for it. I said 250 was easy for everyone. Time to pay up.

I'm somewhere between intermediate and advanced with my cleans at my BW, but I'm older than a lot of you frickers here.

I can also bench a shitload more than my BW.
