Amazing that Bama fans arent the least bit concerned about the numerous struggles of that team this year against medocre opponents. I have no doubt that Texas, USC, or OU would have wiped the floor with Bama's schedule just as easily as Bama did.

Bama played who from the east this year?

I agree 100%, although it is not Bama's fault. That's why I say Bama is the worst #1 team I've ever seen, although that assessment would change with two more wins.

Miles underachieved in 2 of 4 years at LSU. Richt under acheives every year.

I just can't see how you LSU fans can still have faith in Miles..He in my opinion is one of the most overrated coaches in the country...He had tons of talent this season and didnt produce and actually looked terrible toward the end of the year after the Bama loss..
Im just an outside fan looking in but from where I stand, the best thing that could have happened to LSU was if he had went to Michigan last year...Now his stock is slowly dropping and before long he'll not be able to get a major job in D1 football...I'm not being a dickhead about all this, I'm just telling it how I see it.. Honestly do any of you LSU fans feel the same way..Honestly??? I'll hang up and listen!!

I think Miles is a manager type coach who happens to be an excellent recruiter. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a charity event in the spring. He is very active in local charities and he is well liked by the public. However, he is a coach that needs top flight assistant coaches. Crowton fits that mold. He made a dreadful mistake w/ the DC. When Pelini was here his scheme was not always the best but the players believed in him and laid it on the line every play. That was not the case this year.
So, Les can rebound given the strong recruiting efforts of each of his years, as long as he tightens up the ship and gets a top level DC and defensive staff in place.
Saban is on the other extreme. He is not a manager type coach. Rather he is a control freak. He needs a decent OC but he will always run a very conservative offense and rely on his defense. It really matters not who is DC is because he is in control. He is brutal on assistants and thus will always have a high turnover rate. However, his assistants always move up and the Saban coaching tree is growing tremendously.
Either can be successful. Miles has the same number of crystal footballs as Saban and both were earned at LSU. So, Miles definitely deserves a year to right the ship. If he does not finish at least 9-3 next year and more like 10-2, then the following year may be a do or die year.
That's my honest assesment, buy you may be right and I may be dead wrong.

Miles meets expectations. Richt puckers under pressure. Miles is secular. Richt is an apologist. Miles wins when it matters. Richt wins when it does not matter. Miles has a NC. Richt has nothing.

I cant see why Bama fans would be hanging out in LSU websites instead of searching for hotel rooms in Atlanta and talking trash to Florida. I guess LSU really is the top of the mountain in bamaland.

miles. richt is more of a choker than miles and miles won a NC.

I remember his conservative offenses costing LSU games. He was ridiculous at times. But man what a great defensive coach.

Richt's teams have been good but some Ga fans believe they have under-achieved in his tenure. I'd stick with Miles.
