If it's true that Trent Richardson was torn between Alabama and LSU, how do you think it looks to other recruits to see how he was used this year as opposed to Shep at LSU?

Everyone who says we will be fine in recruiting needs to consider this. Coaches use everything they can to get recruits. These kids pay attention to things like this, they talk to existing players and know the stigmas associated with programs.

As long as Alabama is winning and Miles and Crowton are mismanaging our talent, we will suffer.

Long term and cumulative. Richardson and Shep are perfect examples. Go to Bama - play and win. Go to LSU - be misused and be frustrated.

Other recruits WILL notice.

You, my friend, are a real outside the box thinker!

I only wish I had the mental capacity to come up with such cutting edge philosophies.

Let's set aside the fact that Trent Richardson is probably the best looking freshman RB I have seen since Adrian Peterson and would have started for most teams in the NCAA.

This season and the Russell Shepard FIASCO (that is, highest ypc on the team, a total of 20 touches at most, and a WASTED redshirt) really KILLS our future recruiting.

Les can save face by having Jefferson/Shep on the field like the Flynn/Perilloux combo.

He had better.

Is your life that bad? How much crying can you do over this. Please keep it in the forefront cause we don't want to suffer alone.

yes, quote me on that.

What kind of message does it send future recruits when a very high profile 5 star recruit who went out of his way to graduate early and get to LSU early is treated this way?

Also Les is quoted saying "Russell will most definitely be playing at the QB position here at LSU" and that is one of the reasons he chose LSU.

He has been used as a RB and a WR this year.

He hasn't thrown a pass.

It's actually a fallacy. Right up there with 3rd and Chavis. You can't show me any stats that say Miles plays less freshmen or underclassmen than any of our major competitors.

Sure, you can use Shep as anecdotal evidence, but that is not an indictment of the program.

I don't think anyone is happy with the way things are going, but that does not excuse complete fabrications and calling them facts.

Oh, that's what you were doing. I thought you were bemoaning a point that has been made over and over. To the detriment of my team.

What part of "benched, redshirt wasted, and terrible off tackle playcalling and no pass being thrown" cant you understand?

When people start talking about how players are "treated" what they "deserve" how it's "unfair," etc., then I am out.

It's football, not Drama Club.

What a douche! I thought Lacour made a good point. Richardson is a very good back, but we saw that Shep had some special skills also. Do you think Miles would have played Richardson in front of Scott? I do not!
