Rest of the Season Schedule

We only have four weekends before the SEC championship game is to be played (Sat. Dec 19).
If this games gets postponed, we will have three weekends to play five games:
Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss.
With Ole Miss and Texas A&M already scheduled, I do not think those games get bumped. Since Florida is already scheduled that game is set to go on as well.
That leaves Alabama out of the picture. Does anyone really think that the SEC is going to make Alabama play an additional game if it already doesn't matter for standings purposes. They won't want to paly, they won't want to push the championship game back either. They have the tiebreaker against Texas A&M already, so if Auburn somehow beats them they have that to go on.
So, that leaves the Florida game, it is scheduled for December 12, but if Florida still only has 1 loss, has the tiebreak over Georgia, is the SEC going to make them play an extra game putting them at a disadvantage compared to Alabama coming out of the west? I just don't see it happening.
If Saturday's game against Arkansas is cancelled, I can easily see us playing Arkansas instead of Florida that last weekend.
Florida and Alabama each end up playing 9 games this season, with not playing against LSU. LSU only plays 8 games. Am I missing anything?

The season will soon be done. It's over.

We honestly should of just had an ncaa exhibition season. No championship games and you schedule who can make it work. Then have bowl games. Everyone would have complained and I will get downvoted for this, but this season is a shite show.

Players dropping like flies. Ark game may not be played and after TG who knows who will be left to take the field.

According to the schedule on the TD home page Alabama is no longer on the schedule.

As much as I was resistant to the idea in the beginning, it is becoming apparent this would have made more sense given the circumstances.

Exactly. Honestly I probably would have been mad if they had done it, but it would have been better in retrospect.

This year is a joke. Beat Ar-kansas and cancel the season.

Bowl season could be a joke. Lots of money spent on the bowls only to it canceled the week of the game due to an outbreak

So LSU avoids 2 massive beatdowns and still ends up with a horrid season and losing record ....

I think we avoid a losing season and somehow get invited to a bowl game, then win that game. 6-3 on the season. I am an optimist.
But yes, we avoid playing the best two teams on our schedule through no fault of our own. We also got fricked with the Mizzou game being moved (no fault of our own) and having to play Mississippi State in a day game without our best player.
frick city season.

I agree with this. But for a different reason - this could be a trial season to get away from the NCAA. It's the first step.

I think you're right. If there was a time to move away from NCAA control, this would have been a good season to try it out. The SEC kinda leaned that way when it said conference only and we don't care what anyone else does or thinks. Oh well.
