Awesome video! We do a lot of skiing at Snowshoe but haven't had a chance to go much exploring elsewhere. Will definitely check that out.

jealous. one of my favorite things to do.

One of the great things about living just outside of Glenwood Springs, CO. We whitewater raft almost every weekend during the summer.

Update: down below in this thread someone linked a video clip of the Upper gaulley. Our "incident" happend at the class 5 Pillow Rock rapid.

I ran the Gauley back in 2000. I remember that rapid name to this day. As an 18 year old, I thought I was invincible...nothing like getting owned by the Upper Gauley to set yo arse straight.

Four of us thought "this might be it" during that run. By far ths longest I've been stuck underwater trying to getto air. One of the girls came up but then was forced under a rock outcrop. Luckily she popped out on hte other side.

Love the New River.

Three friends and I took the New River from Bluestone Lake in Kayaks for three days. Spent the nights on the side of the bank.

We hit Brooks falls, a class two, and the guys with canoes capsized, of course. No Class three rapid since we were in canoes and sit on tops.

Sandstone falls is one of the coolest places to ever be.....ever. I could not beleive that stripers go that far into the mountains, but I caught a few.

We ended at Army Camp 26 miles later. It was awesome. We didn't run into anyone on the whole trip.

If I knew how to post pics i would.

Girl, right side, second position: exhilaration quickly trasnforms into primal terror. It's only hilarious because everyone escaped unscathed.
