The schedule this year wasn't exactly difficult.

We played a lot of teams that had high rankings before the year began, and most fell flat.

TCU was never that good. Florida is terrible. We played Aurburn at the right time in the right conditions. We played Georgia the absolutely wrong time. Ole Miss was terrible and we lost. Texas A&M would be a W any year if we had a defense.

Next year looks pretty tough when you consider what it takes to makes a championship game. Wisconsin, @Auburn, @Florida, Ole Miss, Alabama, and @Texas A&M will not be easy.

The stadium will be half empty with that home schedule notwithstanding Alabama, Ole Miss, and State.

I see nothing to fear from the teams in bold. UF is a dumpster fire, A&M should be without JFF, and Wisconsin is a b1g school.

Bama is going to have major issues next season. They will finally get a taste of the QB situation we suffered through with JL/JJ. The guys they brought in behind AJ either haven't panned out or have transferred. Most reasonable Bama fans will tell you next year will be shakey at best for them, and are holding out for Town in 2015.

Aug 30 Wisconsin: Might be tough; 75% chance of victory; in the end, too much speed and home field advantage, plus not knowing how to prepare for Jennings and Fournette
Sep 6 Sam Houston State:100% chance of victory
Sep 13 UL Monroe: 100%
Sep 20 Mississippi State: 95%
Sep 27 New Mexico State: 100%
Oct 4 @Auburn: 50%; will be a great game that could go either way
Oct 11 @Florida: 75%; Florida offense will not be fixed, especially if Muschamp is still around
Oct 18 Kentucky: 100%
Oct 25 Ole Miss: 70%; at home and we still do have more talent than they do
Nov 1 Open
Nov 8 Alabama: 45%; at home and they will not be as dominant with the loss of McCarron
Nov 15 @Arkansas: 75%; Arky will be better but they still are the worst team in the SEC
Nov 22 Open
Nov 27 @Texas A&M: 50%; have a feeling that Sumlin will be gone after this year, no Johnny Football, and their D is still bad; only doing 50% b/c it is on the road and Sumlin may still be there calling plays.

Next year is a 10-2 season all the way.

Explain this. Are they magically getting a defense while replacing the most prolific QB in recent memory?

What are you smoking? Not easier. Wisconsin, Florida, Auburn, A&M all away? I'd take another Georgia game away to have Florida, Auburn, and A&M at home. (I know, GA's not on the schedule - just comparing to this year's.)

First, I don't see how the defense improves significantly unless people step up at DL, LB, and S. I expect CB to get better.

Second, we have a new inexperienced QB, WRs, less RB depth, and the same underachieving OL.

With that in mind:

Aug 30 Wisconsin (at Houston, Reliant Stadium)
Toss up; Wisconsin is good

Oct 4 @Auburn
Uphill battle; Auburn will be better; if we play them now I think we lose; good SEC team on the road; uphill battle

Oct 11 @Florida
Toss up; Florida sucks, but it is still tough to go into the swamp and win, especially with a young inexperienced offense and a weak defense

Oct 25 Ole Miss
Toss up; we should beat them but then again we should have beaten them a few weeks ago; they will be better, and this time they won't be without 7 injured starters; Freeze outcoached us once, don't see why he can't again

Nov 8 Alabama
Uphill battle; no explanation necessary

Nov 27 @Texas A&M
Toss up; no Johnny, no matter; Sumlin's offense is systematic; they will be at home

Best case scenario looking at 10-2, worst case at 6-6.

8-4, maybe 9-3 most likely.

I see two automatic L's w/ UA and AU. Three games that could go either way (UW,UF and OM).

I'll go with 9-3 or 8-4 for the '14 campaign.

Why are we playing A&M last instead of Arkansas?

1) Because A&M is more exciting

2) Because A&M is more of a natural rival; Arkansas was always a forced rivalry (although they took it seriously)

3) Because we don't really care about Arkansas

4) Because thats the way we and A&M wanted it (insert Arkansas dialogue: IT AINT THE WAY I WANTED IT...I WAS PASSED OVER...I CAN DO THINGS I'M SMAHT...NOT LIKE EVERYBODY SAYS...I'M SMAHT AND I WANT RESPECT

Auburn will still have a crappy defense

and Alabama will not have McCarron

I'm not saying they will be wins, but in no way would I just assume losses to those teams. Especially since we have no idea what Jennings can do yet.
