This shapes up as a classic trap game for LSU— a sneaky-good Vanderbilt squad at home could exploit the Tigers' offensive inconsistencies
This isn’t a trap game, though.
Those are always teams playing extremely well and rolling teams, with a lesser opponent sandwiched between two upper tier opponents.
LSU has yet to play a complete game where they can overlook a lesser opponent.
Ole Miss vs Wazzu was a trap game.
This is not.

You act like they Vandy has played the worst teams in FBS.
Clemson, Florida and Ole Miss are better than the other 4 teams they have beaten by far.
We both played South Carolina.
La Tech and Southeastern are similar to playing Ga State and Charleston Southern.

ChatGPT likes the good guys:
‘LSU 27, Vanderbilt 23.
Kickoff is Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 in Nashville (noon ET); most previews have this as a tight one with a total around 48.5 and the line hovering near Vandy -2.5, but I like LSU to edge it late.’

Not what the data says.
In-conference SOS: LSU- 19, Vandy- 6
Non-conference SOS: LSU- 25, Vandy- 19

If the data was 100% correct, we would not need to play the game.
