Getting the flow of the top talented high school football players to start giving your favorite college football program their serious consideration is a necessary step of reality if your school becomes and stays successful.

Nick Saban started the LSU successful recruiting program going to LSU again back in 2000 to 2005. Like Paul Dietzel was doing for LSU from 1955 to 1961, and LSU stayed that way until Les Miles saw the top talented recruiting flow began turning off.

Now once again Head Football Coach Ed Orgeron has the top talented high school football recruits giving LSU their serious consideration once again.

So let's hope this 2018 LSU football team keep winning so at lease that recruiting reality with be LSU good fortune for another decade.
Geaux Tigers!!!
-------
?Scott Reppond? to LSU, Tiger Nation

Would love to see LSU lock up that top 10 out of Louisiana for the 2019 recruiting class.

At present they have Derek Stingley - CB, Kardell Thomas - OG, Ray Parker - OT, Tyrion Davis - RB, Donte Starks - ILB...

Ishmael Sopsher - DT, Devonta Lee - ATH are currently uncommitted.

John Emery Jr - RB - GA, Christian Harris - ILB - Texas A&M, Bryton Constantin - OLB - Clemson are currently committed to other schools.

LSU has done a great job of recruiting thus far but would love to see them keep the top guys at home this season rather than losing them to other schools. 2019 is a big class for Louisiana loaded with talent.

what?

2016 9 of the top 10 state players committed to LSU
2015 6 of the top 10 state played committed to LSU
2014 was a bad year with only 5 of the top 10
2013 8 of the top 10 committed to LSU

I wonder why some of you people change history to fit your narrative

Pretty sure Saban's 2002, 2005 and Ed's 2018 classes are the worst this century.

Guess you forgot what Dinardo did with a guy named Faulk that really got the ball rolling in ‘95? And left plenty talent for Saban

They’re doing what they can to land Emery but they’re struggling just to get the kid on campus. McGee from Georgia is a Frank Wilson level recruiter and it looks like he’s not gonna let Emery go.

Hopefully we can get John on campus for the Georgia game.

LSU isn’t recruiting Christian Harris. They don’t like what they see. They have Marcel Brooks, Donte Starks, Kendall Mccalum committed and they’re pushing for Nakobe Dean. They got his last official visit which is huge. Starks and Brooks are both much better prospects than Harris.

Bryton Constantin Is an interesting one. The staff just didn’t offer or recruit him but he blew up in the rankings. Clemson has been on him for over a year now and he’s 100% sold on going to Clemson. It’s strange though, I went to the Southern Lab vs Uhigh game and Bryton wasn’t even starting.

Winning is the difference between who is the best football team cuz the moment we lose our feeling will change back to sadness again no matter what the Box Score stats say.

Constantin and Harris are overrated ATM. Harris desperately wants a Bama offer. Emery has little interest in playing for LSU for whatever reason. It is what it is.

I don’t know if they’re overrated. They’re both very good players. I just don’t think their takes in this class. Maybe Kendall will surprise me but they both look better than him to me.

Harris wanted a Bama offer but Jimbo has him all
In at A&M.

After talking with some people in Destrehan I don’t find that to be the case. He’s just an impressionable kid and Georgia is the flavor of the month. They can still flip him.

Tommy Robinson needs to start producing on the trail.

O isn’t going to put up with subpar recruiting.

Some of the LSU fans have really hurt LSU image over the years because they are just so damn hateful and stupid. That they are very embarrassing to listen to in public. Instead of helping the LSU Football program they would rather hurt.

recruiting did turn down under miles. it wasn't awful, but it was down. in fact, it was still pretty good, thanks to local talent. he just didn't fill needs. this state produces wr's and db's in abundance, and he filled the roster with them.

miles deserves a lot of credit for his tenure here. lots of good things. he just became an anachronism.

Stop. Les had the best stretch of recruiting before he got fired and was in line for another top 5 class.

This team is fricking loaded with guys Les recruited.

Oh lord this crap again.

When a player like Dylan Moses says that he decomitted because of the uncertainty at head coach or Pat Surtain says “I wanna go win championships” , why do idiots like yourself somehow hear “well LSU has shitty fans and so I decided to commit elsewhere” ? Do you have selective hearing?

I thought Les Miles was most criticized for underachieving with top talent.

If he didn't have the talent then why were the expectations so high?

You guys have to make your minds up. Did we have talent or didn't we? If we did, how did we get the talent if Les Miles wasn't recruiting at a high level? Was he growing them out of the ground or something?

Yes, he recruited well and still does because he saw a long time ago that to win, it's not about Xs and Os, it's about Jimmies and Joes. That's why he didn't wait on the NCAA to decide it should pay players, he just went on and started doing it and he has some of the slickest ways of doing it that can never be traced to the school. Look at Tuna...Boosters paid for his family to move to Alabama, gave them a free home to live in and gave them good paying jobs...all for his signature.

I guess we don't count Burrow and Tracy but you should...otherwise:

Signed 8/top 10 in LA
Through four games, 16 of the 25 signees have already seen the field. Seven of the signees have started in at least one game.
