LSU basketball had reasonable opportunities to win in the final couple of minutes of each SEC loss. Against Kentucky they missed the last shot to tie. Against Georgia the last shot to win. Against BAMA an ill advised technical killed momentum after a bad call. Against Vandy a couple of mishandled rebounds after missed free throes were big.

This team is not being overwhelmed, just need to make a few more plays They are one third through the league schedule in a very balanced league under a new coach and program. Hopefully these early games will teach them what it takes to close out these close games.

Next years' recruits will arrive in due time as will this year's baseball season. Lets support this team the rest of the way and stop the snarky comments that are starting to pop up. Better days are ahead and they might arrive sooner than many think.

Yes. They are competitive in every game and they don’t quit even when down double digits. Both are a sign of good coaching They just need more talent which is on the way.
Our program is in great hands with WW.

Ah yes. The coulda been a contender rationalization. Almost like a moral victory. Sort of.

Yep. Once we have more than a couple of legit sec players on the roster we will be fine. Thank you coach jones for the ferocity on the recruiting trail and for the fine culture you instilled during your 5 years as our coach

After watching the non conference games, I thought MBB would be a 7-11 type team. I'll be satisfied with that considering last years team. The SEC isn't top heavy like football this year, but very balanced. I'm pleased with Wade so far. My only complaint is they seem to always come out flat to start the 2nd half and at times the first half.

I thought going into SEC play they would be about a 9-9 team, maybe a little above or below. They are still in that range. The key to their finish is Brandon Sampson. He was a potential All SEC player before his injury and just has not regained his stride on a consistent basis. If he can return to a 12 to 15 point range this team becomes much tougher.
