What has Lee done (now that he is no longer playing behind the horrible OLine of last year), that has earned him the label of terrible, from you?

We had no running game because of poor OL play.
Please. The O-line was terrible at pass blocking last year, but they were not bad at run blocking. The running game was light years ahead of the passing game last season. FACT.

I am not convinced he won't look worse than JJ against a real defense.
Well neither am I, but the difference is I don't care if he looks good or not. I want somebody in who is going to run a legit offense at LSU. If he fails miserably, then he fails miserably.
The difference between Lee & Jefferson is that with Lee, at least LSU is trying to run a real offense. With Jefferson in against a great defense, you've conceded that part of the game to the other team before the game has even begun.
No risk, no reward. Defenses are supposed to be conservative in nature. Offenses are not. Great offenses always thrive on misdirection and risk. That's just the nature of the game.

How could there be such a great debate over 2 shitty QB's?

Still throwing off his back foot into coverage - he wasn't perfect, but 16/23 185, terrible???
the grounding - weak call
the pass beyond the line - he was told to get off the bench and pick up 3rd and 23?? Really?
How 'bout the strikes to multiple WRs?
How 'bout 4th and 14?
How 'bout back to back drives of 60+ yards?
How 'bout opening up the playcalling
Still terrible?
How 'bout mid-level SEC QB, for now?

You guys just want me to pay for the statements I have made in the past, regardless of how accurate they were at that time.

No risk, no reward.
Lee is High risk, High reward.
I said as much after Vandy. But you know that.

It's a debate over the direction over the entire offensive scheme at LSU, which is a pretty big deal as far as LSU football is concerned.
Don't pretend like JJ & JL are interchangeable parts that are roughly trying to do the same things.

He was 1st string throughout the entire bowl practice part of the season. He played over half the game against Ole Miss. He played a big role in the comeback against Troy. He started playing in games starting with the 2nd game of the season against North Texas.
The assertion that Jefferson should be given slack because he was a "green" player in 2009 is quite possibly the stupidest, most idiotic idea ever propounded on the Tiger Rant.
He had a total of one pass and three carries when he saw some time against Troy. It wasn't like he was getting a lot of useful experience until the back end of the season.
He has been bad this year no matter what year starter you consider him to be.
And if you think that other part is the stupidest, most idiotic idea ever propouned on the Tiger Rant, you must skip a lot of threads.

There will be people pulling for and against JL and Lee tomorrow. Within the fan base.
What a shitty bunch of fans. To save some personal pride, they want a player to fail.

No. We want you to quit stubbornly saying the shite that you keep saying up until the present time. We want you to say that LSU getting its sack back and putting Lee back in as its 1st QB of choice is clearly the right thing to do, as it was also the right thing to do in 2009. We want you to say that "no risk, no reward" is a shitty way to treat the offensive players at LSU, and that they don't deserve that treatment. We want you to say that the passing game woes of LSU in 2009 were shared by all the players of the offense that season, and that other players shouldn't keep "taking the fall" for Jefferson's obvious mistakes and lack of progress, for which there is absolutely no excuse.
We want you to stop this obsessive hyper-focus on Jarrett Lee's technique if he's generally doing the right things and playing good games.
Sheesh.

Lee: (listening on headset)
Crowton: OK. Its 3rd and 23, Jarrett get your helmet on and get in there and run XYZ. And get us that 1st down
Lee: What? Where the hell are we? (Looks at wrist card) XYZ, XYZ, uh, OK. Crap, 8 seconds on the shot clock, 7, 6. Those two are coming on the blitz. Where's the 1st down marker. Hut, Thanks coach, you dick head

I swear I need a sticky for this shite.
Lee should be the guy. JJ should be the change of pace QB, if not Shep. JJ has become more of a headcase than Lee at this point.

These JL supporters are jumping on his bandwagon acting like they know he will be a great improvement.
He MIGHT be, considering how terrible JJ has been recently. But, JL has never shown us anything to get excited about. Remember the last game he was in before last weekend: LA tech.
My point - there is nothing to get excited about. Not JJ, not JL, not RS.
Nothing to warrant a 20 page thread.
They are all not suitable.
