Agreed, because if you look at the record it does not tell you anything about the opponents.

Troy - a team with 0 draft picks, 0 4 stars, and a 4 year recruiting average in the 60s, came into tiger stadium and took LSU to the goddamn woodshed for a half before LSU tried to make a game of it before it was too little too late.

You may remember this is the game that several posters tried to pin on Aranda , despite the offense going 0 FOR 9 on 3rd down conversions.

2 weeks prior, LSU got beat so bad by miss state, it’s *literally* never happened in 90 years. People asked “is this state team capable of winning the west?”, before losing their next two games by an average margin of defeat of 4 TDs

dude I think most reasonable people know the floor is around 7 wins. we have a tough schedule this year. Miami, @Auburn, Bama, UGA... all very losable.

We are in total agreement Dave. My point is simply that last year wasn't a complete failure. It was no doubt an underachievement. This year, the roster seems to be a bit improved and hopefully the coaching changes are what was needed to get this team competing for the SEC title.

Orgeron fans need to just admit they are happy with mediocrity so we can all move on.

No doubt. 7 wins is cause for termination.

No but to say 6 to 25 isn’t t a huge talent gap is being ignorant.

You know how Vegas works , right?

They are not in the business of predicting what will happen, they are in the business of finding the sweet spot of what will get them the most action.

Can't have it both ways. If you discount LSU record bc schedule was weak, then you have to lower bar when schedule is tough. I do neither. Bar should always be at 10 + wins.

What the frick is this stupidity? You can absolutely discount last year's 9 wins after the season. Look how many coaches are being replaced from our schedule.

There is no lowering the bar for a "tough" schedule. We are in the SEC West. Every year is assumed to be "tough." When we get lucky with a down year like last year should be when we wreck shop and take advantage.

Sort of off topic, but speaking of schedules, has anyone looked at Alabama’s schedule? Good Lord.
Hopefully we can finally beat them, but other than that, they shouldn’t lose a fricking game.
It’s almost absurd they get those cake walks.

To be fair, the talent rankings had LSU at 6 and State at 25. Not as a big of a difference as it seems you are saying

This is the Orgeron defenders beginning of his defense when the recruiting tanks to rank 25 to 30. They will say “it’s just as good as 5 or 6”.

Last night I was a "hater" and today I'm an Orgeron defender. I wish you guys decide which one it is.
