There's nothing realistic about that statement.

Hopeful is more like it.

Les has never had less than 2 losses in a season. This would be a first for him. I don't think another 2 loss team will play for a National Championship anytime soon. It would appear we will be a good team. How good? Who knows? I think the defense takes a step back next year. My minimum goal for this team is to make it to Atlanta and win the West.

That's just what I was thinking. If Mettenburger takes over wouldn't that put LSU having a new QB also. Not a flame, just thought that was amusing....

Yeah, but if we have a new starting QB, it's going to be seen as an upgrade over JJ, whereas replacing McElroy with McCarron, Mallett with Russell (I think is his name), and Masoli and Cam with who the frick ever are all going to be seen as downgrades.

And if we pass more often, expect short drives and a tired somewhat inexperienced defense in the fourth quarter.

The only hope for survival vs Oregon is that you are two deep.
Its great that the Oregon game is the season opener.
Everyone will be fresh.
And you better be able to run the ball. If you dont control the clock, you will be torn to shreds.
