I love winning a BSC championship as much as any fanatic, BUT, for the retards who think it will happen on a yearly basis, GET REAL.
There are tons of premier teams who have not won a championship in a while; life goes on.
I understand that we pay big bucks, but so does everyone else who aspires greatness.
Hell, we won two in the last six yrs.
Are you really expecting to play in the championship game every yr?
There are tons of people who would die to have Saban back, and even the great Meyer and Saban aren't playing for it every yr. Saban has only played for it twice in.... yep, six yrs and Meyer is now broken because of the stress from the UF retards.
When did having great seasons and quality, respectable kids not become the desired outcome.

I will see the real fans in Orlando. LSU 28 PSU 24

Totally agree dude. We should ALL lower our standards and expectations. LSU has already won TWO national championships this century, right? No need for any more. SEC championships? Nah, we have enough. Yeah people. Lets drop those standards. Expecting to win the SEC is too much.

10 win seasons do not mean shite anymore. As far as I'm concerned, and I'm sure others can agree, its a national championship or failure every season. With the talent that comes in year in and year out why should we settle for mediocrity?

I agree. Beginning next year the Hogs will be in the hunt year after year. Piss on mediocrity.

you missed his point RogerTheScrubber. he said EVERY YEAR! while i'm not sure if he was being tongue and cheek, i agree that we can't win EVERY YEAR! having said that, being critical of LSU's football team is part of the deal and every fan has the right to be so. what irk's me (and many others i have observed) is that the critisism is so vitriolic and personal. it IS unrealistic to expect a championship every year; it just doesn't happen. i'm pretty sure the way we played this year is the main reason some people think miles is not the coach they want. so what? i don't like the way we played either, but also realize that we are going through a period of rebuilding certain key positions and i am willing to give miles and company the chance to rebuild. if he doesn't do it, yes, i will be for making a change. i will not resort to personal attacks though. i think that is classless, immature and actually hurts their "cause". i believe if miles wins another NC in the next coupla years, there will be little difference in the critisism. he's not a good public speaker, he doesn't win the way some fans want him to, he doesn't use the players the way these "genius's" would and his mistakes are because of stupidity while other coaches mistakes are just mistakes. i think if we lose more than one or two games next year and we continue to struggle on offense miles should be on "probation". if 2011 is not stellar, i think he should be replaced. HOWEVER, i really don't expect bad results the next coupla years. i expect very good results. miles history as a winner is why i feel that way. no apology here, i think he's a good head coach.

dude...being in the hunt is mediocrity, as gamer said, you either win the BCS or the season was a total flop.

I understand, I was being somewhat over the top and sarcastic in my response as well. I think LSU fans get a bit of a bum rap from their own. Every fan base has some with unreal expectations. Of course LSU can't win the SEC every year but should be expected to win it every 3-4 years in the least.

Also, fans have always "been this way." I was a youngster but remember the Charlie Mac days. The internet just makes dissenting opinion appear to be magnified much greater than it is at times. Opinionated people speak louder and more often than middle of the road folks.

i'll take miles over flakes like meyer and saban any day, for any length of time.

what is unrealistic is to think the ebb and flow of college football will disappear. Determining success or failure varies from year to year depending upon many factors. As tough as the SEC is, we've won the west 4 times this decade and the conference 3. Historically, that is elite performance, and if the program produces that on a consistent basis, no one really has the right to bitch, even if there are down years in between.

I really wouldn't call this year a success or a failure...I might would call it progress if JJ had improved more as the year went along, but as it is, we still have QB questions going on the third year in a row. Crowton staying and Chavis possibly leaving are big red flags as well. Recruiting is still strong, and if the proper personnel moves were made, I'd still be positive that we can keep the standard we've had...at this point though, I'm in a wait-and-see mode.

I am as well. I have posted many times to drop what has happened in the past and judge the program on the season at hand. This one was a very mixed message. Next year will determine "the direction of the program" more than any in the past 5 years.

In my opinion when you win a championship, its like riding a wave. Your in the national spot light. Young and upcoming recruits see it and want to be a part. Its a perfect storm and point in time when the wave is just right to support your board. The PROBLEM is you can not take your eye off of the wave or it will pass you buy.

We can NOT waste any time, we need to use the talent as EFFICIENTLY as possible and cease every opportunity.

I WORRY, like so many fans, that miles just doensn't have the talent to SURF.

Realistically, I'd like to be in the 9 win range. Play competitive games with a chance to win against bama and florida. We won't win the west every year but i'd like to be in the running when we get Ole Miss and Ark.

we need to see some domination from this football team, Penn State good as starting point as any.
It would go a long way with alot of fans.

I can even live with not winning the West when Bama or someone else has a solid team. I think the main gripe is the appearance of the team, sloppy undisciplined - frustrating to watch.

500 in the SEC, with a 5-3 every now and then when we get a lucky bounce (like Miss State and Georgia this season).

That's Les Miles football, baby. Get-r-done!

LSU is among bottom of conference in penalties and to's.
Those two things are biggest traits of an undiscplined fb team.
LSU just wanst very fun to watch mainly b/c of a shitty offense.
