With Ware allegedly off to the draft that leaves us with

Blue
Ford
Hill

All 3 of these guys are well liked by the rant so presumably Hilliard and Copeland will get about 40% of the carries just to drive us all nuts

What happend to Hilliard this year. He seemed to be a little softer than last year. I remember him as a punishing back like when he ran smooth over the Georgia defender in SEC champ game. Just didn't feel like he ran with that intensity this yr?

I could see Magee being moved back to RB

Seems like he runs too high

I think he just isn't all that good. Hate to say it.

I would love to see Magee at RB...he and hill would be an amazing tandem with Blue and Ford to supplement. If Ford sticks around...Hilliard started the year off really well, then I think it was around the week we played Towson. He kind of just fell apart. I hope it was an injury that they kept silent that prevented him from playing as well as we were used to seeing.

But once Hill got the carries he proved to be the more viable option. I just hope they change the running calls so the tendencies are not in place for defenses to know what we are going to do based on who is in the backfield.

Hilliard fumbled a couple times against one of the cupcakes and looked to me like he ran a bit more tentatively after that. Couple that with Hill's emergence and Ware's blocking abilities and it was just harder to get him on the field.

Ford isn't very good. Not sure why people like him. Terrible between the tackles and is BY FAR the worst blocker of all the backs.

I don't know what happened to him. He seemed so hesitant getting to the hole.

Ford used to be the back with breakaway speed who was the home run threat. Seemed he lost that quick burst.

He is very fast but needs another year to get stronger. BUT, I think he is going going gone to the League...

He will undoubtedly get some touches next season at RB.

Strongest RB by far. He just runs upright through the hole and is tentative about contact.

He just isn't very good. His missed blocking assignments are enough to give him very little playing time.

I was hoping he would leave and Ware would stay.

If Ford leaves, as many have indicated is a strong possibility, Magee stays.

If Ford stays, a Magee transfer is more feasible.

Does it really matter? Defenses know what's going to happen all the time anyway.

Ford = outside run, Hilliard = 1-2 runs up the middle per game, Copeland = goal line dive. Every. Single. Time. They're. In.

None of them are effective runners because of our ridiculous predictability. Ware was the only back that wasn't one-dimensional by scheme, and that's only because the dude could block or sneak out of the backfield on pass plays.

God I hope Hill and Blue light up spring practice and force the offensive playcallers to get away from this running-back-by-committee nonsense. It's nice when you can keep your HBs fresh and not overwork them with carries (both for their effectiveness as runners now, and for their futures in the NFL), but not when you only do one thing with each of them every single time.

As do I. He was an absolute stud in HS.. led his team to back to back state finals appearances (winning the title as a senior).

You are a idiot if you believe that poison you are spewing. Do you think Lacy and the rest of the sec backs aren't predictable either? You just hate Miles and nothing the man will do will ever satisfy you.
