Agree. Why not just test all the players identified by contact tracing an hour before kickoff? The tests take 15 minutes to run. If it's negative, that means that person isn't shedding virus at that time regardless of when he came into contact with a known positive.

I know. This is serious with all the players and coaches dying left and right....oh wait, nobody has actually died or even gotten significantly ill in the SEC.

I really don't get the narrative of an athlete fearing competition to the point of wanting to have the competition cancelled. It's just unrealistic. It's not like this is a fight to the death between a violent armed felon and an unarmed choir boy. It's a football game.
