Thought he called a great game overall minus a few too many runs for Burrow. I give it an 8.

First half was fricking money. Second half was okay. I give it an 8 also.

The only thing I didn't like was them trying to run Burrow with QB draws like he's Cam Newton. I'll give it an 8

I just want to know what happened in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. We had plays that worked in the 1st and 4th. Can't go lower than a B rating considering we moved it when we needed to, but we still have stuff to clean up. Glad we're still undefeated

The old man, former LSU QB, journeyman coach sleeping in his office. I love it. Steve is a true Tiger.

B-

There were spots I felt like they were just trying to figure it out, but in the end they did, and that's all that matters.

The secret playbook has been cracked open - finally - and only disappointed when passes were dropped, batted down, or had to be thrown away due to unopen receivers.

Maybe one run, run, pass, punt that I remember- ?

Earlier in the game there were a number of times burrow had the outside. I never saw a chance for him inside so those runs confused me. I was perplexed why we kept running the ball but we just kept gashing them and it led to a huge time of possession advantage that caught up at the end of the game. I say 8+ for sure.

that was a disappointing effort by Moreau on one of those QB runs. Would have been a first down.

yep. he fricked up trying to make 2 blocks instead of just blocking the guy in front of him and securing the first down

I don’t have much problem with the play calling.
I have a problem with the plays in their arsenal.

If we could critique one thing...we need to stretch field on runs more....Brossette looked good outside the tackles.

9 out of 10. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They ran screens, spread out in 3 and 4 WR sets, and got the ball into the hands of playmakers. Well done Coach E!

B+
-too many called QB runs. A couple had some success, but there were too many

-too many long balls. The WR very seldom had separation and I don't like the risk of losing a down for something that has a 25% chance of working.

-need more shorter routes to the WR. Joe is very accurate with those.

-do we even have a play to get the TE the ball?

-the short routes were great

-otherwise the play calling did keep them off balance. It was not predictable IMO. In the end keeping the defense off balance is the #1 thing to do and SE did a great job at that.
