Rashard Lawrence reminds me a lot of Aaron Donald from the Rams

The power and speed which he penetrates along with moves doesn’t necessarily lead to sacks but a lot of hurries and loses

Lawrence is a very good player but Donald has dominated the NFL since he came in the league. Hopefully he will be that disruptive next year

Yeah, one guy is top 3 at his position in the NFL, the other is an average SEC D-lineman - practically twins.
Aaron Donald is the man, playing among men. You are comparing apples and bowling balls.
I like Lawrence and hope he develops, but the comparison is absurd.

Donald started out like that? Was he never a college sophomore? Maybe OP saw Donald as a college sophomore, or maybe you just need to stop being a bitch on a message board?

The have completely different builds and style of play.
AD is 6’0 290, he’s a ball of muscle. Very compact, quick and violet (big short violet arms). Hard for O-lineman to get leverage. Plays More like Glenn Dorsey at LSU.
RL has good technique and violet hands. But he tends to play very high allowing O-lineman to gain leverage on him when he doesn’t use his hands. Plays more like Cameron Heyward.

Aaron Donald is in another level, but they play different roles in the defense. Lawrence is asked to eat up blocks and hold gaps, look like they tell Donald to cause hell.

All I got out of that was imagining big black dudes with purple hands.

Don't see the comparison. Closer to how they use Brockers imo

Come on man. Donald is hall of fame and one of the best d tackles ever to play the game. Let’s give Lawerence a chance to develop before you put these lofty expectations on him.

I like "Richard Lawrence" I think a better comparison would be former LSU great "Glen Dorsett"
Seriously all kidding aside Lawrence is a force. The D-line play was night and day without him early in the season.
Hate to say it errrr... "Next season" the D-line should be fresh enough to compete and possibly/hopefully dominate in the 4th qtr.
