It still baffles me how a guy that can hit .430 in the SEC can’t make it in the pros.

Why?

average in the field, below average arm, very little power, average speed but he was a singles machine though and a great tiger.

Because 2012 was an outlier. He hit .360, then .431, then back down to .331. He had very little pop, just hit it the right place at an uncanny and impossible to maintain rate in 2012. He was a great college player but never had the tools to do much at the next level. That’s why he was only a 30th round pick his junior year after he hit .431.
