I've been saying it for 2 weeks now since we clinched against Arkansas.

The comparisons aren't even close. LSU has faced Auburn, Florida and Bama. All have equal talent on defense.

UGA has faced no team that even remotely resembles what LSU is doing. Like, not even in the same stratosphere.

The difference in this game will be defense for sure. LSU's defense will stop UGA's offense just enough for LSU to piece together a 2-3 TD lead early. UGA will have to play from behind and throw the ball and that's not what they do best. Look for LSU to win this one 37-14ish.

People keep talking about UGA's defense...I think their offense is why they lose pretty convincingly.

I think LSU only gets about 400 yards...well below our average, but how can Georgia do anything? I know LSU has not been amazing on defense, but we have the potential and have shown the flashes.

For instance, against Auburn, Georgia put up 251 total yards. Against Kentucky (in a slopfest, but it counts and helps their defense) they put up 270 yards. Against mighty Texas A&M they put 260 yards.

If Georgia wants to win this game, they will have to create 2-3 turnovers, turn them into TD's or bring them into our side of the field, and they will have to get closer to 400 yards.

LSU is putting up 30 no matter what happens, can Georgia match it.

I don't disagree with what you are trying to point out here, but the part of the stat that you left out (which was included in a post by someone yesterday) is the amount of yardage and points UGA held those bad offenses to. While they may have been average to well below average offensive teams, UGA held nearly all of them to well below their avg. yards/gm. and points/gm. That is what great defenses do to bad offenses. So just b/c they played bad offensive teams doesn't mean that UGA isn't a great defensive team.

But LSU Butt hit the nail on the head (as most in the media have) that the key to this game is UGA's avg. to bad offense against LSU's inconsistent defense.

Even though UGA has a great defense, LSU equally has a great offense and will still manage to put up somewhere around 400-450 yards of offense, which should equate to around 30 pts for the game. But will UGA's offense be able to match that. My gut says they won't be able to without the assistance of LSU gifting them some turnovers and/or struggling mightily in the red zone like they did against Auburn.
