Now, based on cumulative W/L, (this is much more speculative, it takes the present W/L records of your future opponents):
LSU: 2
No losses. Win the SEC WEST. Win the SECCG. YOU WILL PLAY FOR THE SHIP.

LSU has played 6 BCS teams so far this year
yea but that has something to do for when the conf play opens up.

see that says oregon is in the 100s but i saw them throttle an sec team on the road. beat a decent asu team and beat a top 15 team imo stanford.
thats why i hate those rankings.
while lsu is at 15 beat a unc team without their roster. wvu while noel devine was hurt. a decent florida team with a hurt qb and without their playmaker. all the while needing a huge coaching gaff to beat the same team oregon throttled at home
not that lsu doesn't have a tough schedule i just think numbers don't tell the whole story
quote:You mean a 3-3 asu team?
a decent asu team
Why should LSU be penalized (essentially) for UNC's players' problems? Or Florida's banged up QB and/or inability of their line to protect him?
Numbers can be twisted many ways, but the key is to focus on what matters.
The subjective element (the AP poll) is what always creates the controversies. You win your games and let God and the ESPN announcers worry about the details.

so is that just taking w/l total into account and nothing else?

First, every major conference needs to have a championship game to level the playing field. I don't care the reasons behind it, figure that shite out.

When playing in the strongest conference in the nation, players tend to get a little beat up. To harp on brantleys injury is rediculos! How many consecutive nc's do we (SEC) do we have to win to make the country understand that. A win against any conference opponent is an achievement considering the fact that damn near every sec school is 2-3 deep at every position! The faster one star graduates another emerges! Reality of the SEC! ESPN should have an all SEC channel, the rest of the nation can fight NASCAR for air time!!
