Among the best lsu basketball games you have ever watched.

I say second behind the lsu-arizona game that we won in 2002 or some year around there when arizona was ranked number 1

I thought the Texas game in the Elite 8 a couple years back was my favorite with the Texas A-M game (Coach Gillespie) being my favorite finish.

This game was great, too. Comeback on the road against a traditional powerhouse...strong win today.

As far as regular season games go, this one ranks pretty high.

I remember a win at Rupp in '80 against a much stronger Kentucky team as a big one.

Dome win over Mourning and Mutombo memorable.

1990 wins over Loyola Marymount and eventual national champs UNLV ring a bell.

A PMAC drubbing of highly ranked Arizona in 2000 was sweet.

Maybe one or two others I can't recall but that's some off the top of my head.

Now postseason is a whole different animal and those wins count for much more.

Probably just a little behind the OSU-LSU game from a few years ago.

Heck no,
1990
The LSU/Loyola Marymount game is my all time favorite. Shaq, Chris Jackson and Stanley Roberts.
148-141 overtime LSU wins.

Loyola Marymount was the hottest team back in the day.

That double OT game here was a good one as was our loss there in 2006 where we blew a 10 pt. lead.

Temple fouled out in that one and once again then you saw his value to us whether he scores or not.

all the games leading up to the run to the 86 FF were special especially the Memphis St thriller and UK redemption game in Atlanta against Kenny sky walker and that great wildcat team

the win vs georgetown in the dome (late 80's)
the win vs UNLV in the PMAC when they won the NC
Loyola Marymount with Hank Gathers in the PMAC
Duke 06

this was another great win in a great season though ... even if it wasnt your typical UK team

My favorite was the Duke game. I loved hearing about how great of a team Duke was, and J.J. Redick, and how he was the greatest shooter in the history of NCAA, and then seeing Temple absolutely shut his arse down, and beat my most hated team in college basketball.

I was thinking during the game that this ranks right up there in the top 10 for regular season games and I've been watching LSU basketball since I was a 10 year old basketball freak in 1984.

Yes, postseason is a whole different story.

But, for regular season games, this game was amazing.

Arizona several years ago was a great game, as has been said.

Georgetown and UNLV in 89 and Loyola Marymount in 1990 have to the greatest regular season games in Tiger history (or at least in the past 25 years).

But, this one is up there, I would think, although I cannot provide a definitive list.

That game was I of the fastest paced game I have ever witness.

I have yet to see a game play with that kind of speed in college basketball.

You youngsters have no idea how great this game was. The Media was going crazy about Chris Jackson , the freshman" Shaq" and LSU on this day.

Ditto. It played on CSTV about a month ago and I was pissed that I missed it.......saw a thread about it on the Rant after the fact.

Today's game was awesome, and I'll remember it for a long time; but nothing will ever beat the '78 win against Kentucky...all five of LSU's starters fouled out, overtime, 95-94, I think Kentucky was ranked number one, and I know they went on to win the national championship...all other Kentucky wins pale to this one. I was young, don't remember much about '78, but I remember that game. It was the game that proved that basketball had a place at LSU, too.

In this age of 60-55 games, some of you younger guys missed a real treat in the 1990 LSU/LM game at the PMAC. Think of the pace it took to score 148-141 in a college basketball game, even if it was overtime. Chris Jackson was unbelievable. Shaq was dominant, and Gathers and Bo weren't too bad either. No chance to get up and go to the bathroom in this one. If I remember correctly, the broadcast missed some of the action twice by being late coming back from commercials.

no doubt the marymount game was awesome, what about shaq's coming out party against rooks and the other 7 footer from Arizona. Lute Olson said they could have had axes and they would not have been able to stop shaq.
