re: Rank the current bullpen based on your confidence level in that pitcher

The problem is that in college your best pitchers end up being a weekend guy and your closers are usually your 5-10th best pitchers in the rotation. If we want to make a deep run you need at least 5 guys that can go out there and get outs. Right now we have 3 guys in my opinion that have proven themselves into that closing role.
I am not worried about our hitting at all. Our hitting is what it is and it is dominate. Just when you have 4 games in 4 days at a regional or win 6 games in 5 days at the SEC tournament it just exploits the teams with not a very deep bullpen. Not to say people wont step up in the future its just right now that is my main concern.

I like it. I think Collins (FB & CB looked good last night) and even Bucknam (i like his FB release & velo) have the potential to move up a few spots to give us pressure innings.
Coleman might also slot in there around the 4-6 range when he is ready to come back. He is a wildcard that could really be additive to this staff.
If we get 6 quality IP from each starter this weekend, we WILL LIKE the game results. Get us into or through 6 and hand it off to Edwards & the crew.
Fearless in the Zone Tigers!

Who cares about the SEC Tournament.
LSU is going to be a top National seed, which means they get a pretty weak 4 seed to open regional play. You pitch Floyd on Friday against the 4 seed, Skenes on Saturday against the 2/3 seed; and Hurd on Sunday night. With Our bats the way they are, you most likely, don’t need Ack, Shores, or Edwards on Friday. They are all good to go on Sat and Sun.
In the Supers, it’s the same as a weekend SEC series with the staff. At Omaha, the way the games are scheduled, we are deep enough to go very far.
The key to a deep run is still Hurd. If he overcomes his injury and control issues, we are good to go.
I also believe by tournament time, Griffen Herring will develop into an extremely valuable and important piece in our bullpen.
