Point being, your program's floor and ceiling needs to be taken into account relative to your achievements, and I'm not sure there was another program that had more built-in advantages than LSU in the BCS / pre-transfer portal era after Saban left.
Absolutely this, it's all relative.
If you think Les if he would have stayed at Okie St. would have had anywhere near the success he had here, I'd love to show you some land I have for sale.

The push for things like this seems related to current condition.

Love him or hate him, Miles has a Hall of Fame-worthy persona because he was memorable. Most people felt his coaching left a lot to be desired and that LSU underperformed given the talent. He was a great recruiter and had a style that he stuck to. And LSU won a lot of games with that style. He had a 2-loss NC that many say he lucked out with, but he also had an incredible 2011 season end horribly due to the misfortune of having to play one of the all-time great defenses twice in Bama. Otherwise, that would have ended in an incredible undefeated season.
He is at least worthy of consideration from those aspects, but him suing LSU due to his ego to get in the HOF was completely pathetic and unbelievably insensitive to his family because it brought up why he was fired again and all the talk about him disobeying LSU's orders and sexually harassing young students (including his family's own babysitter). He had some great teams, but the guy really is an idiot. He didn't help himself there.

Lane Kiffin is memorable. Does he belong in the CFB Hall of Fame? Maybe if you value memes over ability I suppose.

Les had a .770 win % with 4.98 SOS
O had .718 win % with 5.81 SOS
So… their tenures at LSU are about the same except O didn’t need countless flukes many of which not involving LSU in one season to win his championship.
Les is a joke

I didn't say he belongs in the Hall of Fame, but it seems like part of being in the Hall of Fame is being someone who everyone remembers...being very famous. He has that part. The other part seems to be one's accomplishments. He did have some good accomplishments too, but he also had major head-scratching blunders personally and professionally. That's the part that might keep him out.

Do you follow the program?
Miles had more more west titles, more sec titles, more title game appearances, more top 5 finishes, more top 10 finishes, more top 15 finishes

o didn't need flukes
So he didn't need a generational qb that just happened to have a relationship with a coach on staff to fall in his lap?

Your opinion doesn't outweigh the facts that he had the most accomplished tenure in lsu history.
