LSU would be about the same if Perriloux was here because there would be specualtion about what would happen if Perriloux gets into more trouble. IN fact we may be ranked higher because we don't have him. Less uncertainty, right?

LSU should be # 1 regardless. Until they lose they deserve to be #1. what if they run the table this year. starting at 6 if 2 teams ahead do the same you will hear bitching like no other.

Probably higher.
But we also have to take into consideration the losses on defense - 5 of the back 7. That will probably be harder to overcome than a single quarterback.

In response to your radio comments... why is Florida terrifying.
Their defense is atrocious. I can't possibly see it being THAT improved, especially with the loss of 2 safeties now.

Yeah, but their D has talent like ours does. A bunch of talent that hasn't played much.
I can see why people get excited about Florida, but I can't throw my full excitement behind them until I see something from their defense.
