Hey, I’m not going to apologize for wanting a West title or believing that based on the wealth of the football program and the recruiting advantage we have in this area we should be doing better than 5-3.

I agree. Progress needs to be made this year

Funny, you never once posted this when Miles went 5-3

“ you never once posted”

Any number of times I reference the losses miles was taking as not being acceptable for the LSU football we had grown to know in the past 15 years.

I didn’t want to harp on it because I know how whining about a coach can upset some on the rant.

Not with what he inherited. A middling, game manager QB, a mediocre, inexperienced WR group and thin lines on both sides of the ball is not a roster that was challenging immediately for anything. Anyone could have predicted that ‘17 would have been a bumpy ride.

Yet you don't mind harping now on unrealistic expectations for the football team. You don't mind totally ignoring the situation and saying that it's NC or bust. What changed?

When did you decide to ignore the truth?

Making the playoff is the bare minimum of what is expected of O this season by any self-respecting fan.

I don't see anyone saying NC or bust.

Playoffs or bust, given the returning production and favorable schedule? Yes. But I'm guessing as the season gets closer playoffs will also become unrealistic expectations.

Oh my

Just a few days ago you were arguing against any evidence of a better offense, now when it's convenient you do a 180

At least it's good to see you've been convinced that we should be better next year, and dropped the ridiculous "no way to know" routine.

I call that progress

“you so -called fans”

Challenging others as whether or not they’re real fans, is weak and silly but knock yourself out.

“ offensive line”

I thought Coach O preseason last year was talking about how good his offensive line was going to be? I know you don’t agree with this, but Coach O has been a member of the LSU staff since 2015. He has been in a position of high authority in regard to LSU football since 2016. He didn’t just get off the plane in 2017 knowing nothing about LSU football or LSU football recruiting.

When, in the last 20 years hasn’t LSU recruiting look good. When, in the last 20 years, shouldn’t the team had done well. Maybe I missed it, but I haven’t seen anyone suggesting that LSU didn’t have a good season and doesn’t look like they might even have a better season.

If we dont, you can cry all you want but have absolutely no power at all.

Most fans expect 11-2 as "bare minimum, and 1 loss to no losses as the goal. championships will take care of themselves with one loss

“NC or bust”

You’re going to have to point me to my posts which said NC or bust. That would be ridiculous, but I have pointed out that I think it’s time for us to win or at least to be highly competitive at winning the west.

Look, if you want to feel as if Coach O took over this talent depleted football team in 2017, go for it. I disagree.

The truth often depends upon whose eyes are being used just see it. Personally, I think LSU has been a talented to very talented football team since about 1995. Interesting, before coach O arrival we were highly talented with coaching problems . Now we’re untalented with lots of coaching ability. I guess will soon be able to make a decision on some of that.

Explain the job as recruiting coordinator and him taking over in 2016 with those players that left or the fact that the depleted position of DLINE was on him. fricking another excuse.

From LSU's 24/7 guy:
quote:

Shea Dixon Retweeted Shea Dixon

In this story, numbers on each recruiting class. One that stings? The 2015 class, where 39% of the signees have already transferred or been dismissed.

From the 2014-2016 classes, only 32 signees (44%) remain on the team right now.

A long read on the state of the #LSU scholarship chart, including insight on moves Orgeron's had to make.

They love to ignore that information. I guess because it weakens their argument so bad. It's shitty and dishonest.

That's cool. They can add this to the list of things to ignore.

Here's the list of ONLY 4-star and above players who have left the team that I put together.

2013 - ranked 6th:

4-star Jeryl Brazil 7th ranked player in class
4-star Hayden Rettig 8th
4-star John Diarse 10th
4-star Avery Peterson 12th
4-star Anthony Jennings 14th
4-star Melvin Jones 15th
4-star Maquedius Bain 18th
4-star Andy Dodd 19th
4-star Rashard Robinson 20th

2014 - ranked 2nd:

**5-star Clifton Garrett 3rd ranked player in class

4-star Brandon Harris 6th
4-star Trey Quinn 7th
4-star Jevonte Domond
4-star Tony Upchurch
4-star Travonte Valentine

2015 - 5th ranked class:

**5-star Tyron Johnson 2nd ranked recruit in the class
**5-star Maea Teuhema 3rd player in class

4-star Chidi Valentine-Okeke
4-star Xavier Lewis
4-star Jazz Ferguson

2016 - 2nd ranked class:

4-star Saivion Smith
4-star Drake Davis
4-star Willie Allen
4-star Travonte Valentine

If these classes were RE-ranked they would not be close to what they were on signing day in those years.

But because 1/9/12 was only 7 years ago Miles is still fair game?

“ explain”

You explain to me how a team in 2017 is talented enough to go 6-2 in the SEC, but yet lose to a troy. Explain to me how a team is talented enough to manhandle a Georgia, but loses to a less talented FLa.

We should have won 10 games in 2017 and pretty easily. With some aggressive playcalling we may have won 11 games that year. We should’ve won 11 games this year. We are a more talented team then (Florida)

We will see what happens this year..

They get their self-esteem from being better fans than others I guess.

As if that means anything outside of TD.com.
