No recruit in his right mind with Jamarcus' type of QB skill would even set foot on LSU's campus if they have the NFL in their thoughts. This is all my opinion of course.

At least you were smart enough to put this on the rant and not the RB.

Yep congrats guaranteeing LSU mediocrity as long as he's HC.

Only a fool or a troll sees the Miles record at LSU, 85-21, 49-19, as mediocrity and you come across as both.

Jamarcus had a great arm..but no touch or accuracy.

The next couple of years and the way we use talent now on the team, will say a lot to future pro style QBs who might consider LSU.

JR was extremely accurate on any route crossing the field, probably one of the most accurate I've ever seen and his completion percentage shows this. His main issue was with touch on vertical routes.

rbdallas used to be an assistant coach for a middle school team, don't question his football knowledge...

QB problem for LSU has many factors.

1. RP being a dipsh-t screwing up a promising career hurt us in 2 ways. Had to start QB's that needed more reps to be successful. Lack of passing game in that year and following years hurt our WR recruitment.

2. Running game that was exceptional with very good defenses left HC and OC little reason to take a chance with vertical passing game. QB's and WR's like to go to teams that pass the ball.

3. Qb's committed to LSU then change their position late in process.

4. Coach brought in to help with QB coaching has a medical conditon that hampers that ability.

5. No really strong in state QB recruits.

Do think Miles could have done more sooner but you can't blame it all on him. We have been snake bit 4 a while. Looks good now and 4 the future at this point.

You do realize Jamarcus was the #1 NFL pick after playing for Les Miles.

Furthermore, what recruit in his right mind with NFL aspirations wouldn't want to play for Cam Cameron?

It is amazing how much people's opinions are shaped by the fact that one gifted quarterback, Ryan Perrilloux, could not behave myself. We are only now beginning to emerge from that.

This!!!!!

2008- I think we only lose the Florida game for sure and maybe Alabama.
2009-We win every game cause they were all so close and a SR like Perrilloux would have been the key to winning those games.

This then transfers to the JJ/JL years and those guys without the stigma they had going into 2010-11 they might have performed better. Two guys, Perrilloux and Mathieu and their antics probably cost us maybe 2 NC, 2009 and possibly 2012.

People Miles brings in excellent recruiting classes and LSU of the last 10 years is 2nd in wins to Boise St, might as well be 1st. Miles has a NC and played for another. Won a ton in the SEC, and his worst season ever was 8-5.

We've had an OL coach pulling double duty and that has been the mistake. When the ship that is our offense gets back on course I don't want to see you negatigers jump back on it.

It's the way of the game...the HC gets the blame cause he calls the shots.

No good excuse for the overall mediocre QB play that's been going on at LSU for way two long for whatever reason one wants to list.

After watching a good bit of the spring scrimmage and yeah I knows it's practice, but seems to me we still got a ways to go before we have a guy who will move the chains on a consistent basis.

I'm not sure what having a true fr open up the scrimmage @ #2 says bout our QB poistion.

Hopefully, things smooth out and the creams comes to the top as the guys work more and more under Cam.

at the beginning of last season i said i was concerned about stud pulling double duty and that he should do 1 or the other not both.
the first response was---- well chavis needs to stop coaching linebackers then. only got worse from there.
even before stud was pulling double duty miles had very high opinions of the offensive line going into the season. i remember 2 or 3 of those years the o-line being not so good and people questioning studs ability.
imo it all depends on the o-line this year. im not the biggest miles supportor, but i think him being more involve with the o-line will end with very good to great results.
for the first time in a while every position has a very good coach, two in some cases.
i look forward to the upcoming season. a season in which coaches dont have the added stress of doubling up on coaching.
